And the "Death Duel with the Vulgar" card you also noted in that post is shown just above the "Nothing Can Stop...The Sandwitch" card on this page. Yeah, I'm just assuming there isn't another unnumbered Spider-Femme card that starts with "Nothing..."

I'm also assuming that #7 card is from the Spider-Femme boxed factory set.

I have a question...is the Freedonia Funnyworks (1993) listed in PCE an actual promo set? I have seen a set for sale before and see one now. It's numbered out of 1200 but it includes a certificate of authenticity that states profits from the sets go to charity. That means it was for sale. Todd had one that was marked as a proof so that could be considered a promo depending on what kind of a proof it is.

Thanks, John. If that set was for sale, then the 1200 sets were not promos. Only the #0 card and maybe Todd's proof set would be promos. Sometimes a proof is another word for a prototype and some number of them were given out. Other times, a proof (or a prototype) is a pre-production sample made only for in-house review. In that case there might be only a small number of them - maybe only one.

PCE2008 notes that the #2 promo from the "Universal Monsters of the Silver Screen" 6-card promo set was an insert in "Combo" magazine but the issue number wasn't included. While looking at sealed magazines on Ebay, I noticed it was inserted with #23, the December 1996 issue.

We're talking about Bob Marley promos in another thread. PCE2008 says that promo #4 was polybagged with "Combo" magazine but doesn't say which issue. I went looking for that on Ebay and see a sealed #4 (May 1995) issue that has it inside.

I should add that in that issue you got a 2-card promo pack that had the #4 promo and the unnumbered promo contest card (also listed in PCE2008)

PCE2008 notes that Proto #1 (Judge Dredd) from the Judge Dredd: The Epics (Edge Entertainment, 1995) promo set was polybagged with Combo magazine, issue #6. I should say up front that Proto #1 through Proto #6 have variants. The title of the card can have either thick or thin letters. PCE has the thin letter variant as the insert but you could also get the thick letter variant of Proto #3 (Judge Death). I noticed it while looking for the Bob Marley promo yesterday. Anyway, I was wondering if the promo you could get was even more random that that - more variants of more numbers?
