Today, I learned that Frank Fritz, one of the two original "American Pickers," passed away September 30 of last year. I watch the local and national news just about every day but didn't hear about that.
I think collectors of anything related to Frank because he always seemed to be looking for stuff for his collection(s) - not just to resell. Obviously, the smart move would be to resell everything but Frank bought toys, clocks, and oil cans he liked. Mike has bought stuff for his collection(s) too but he seems more "all business" than Frank. You have to be when you're trying to keep two stores open.
I also learned today that Mike closed the Nashville store in late April so he has just the original store in LeClaire, Iowa now.

1970s teen idol Bobby Sherman died earlier this month. Also, Rick Hurst who was on many TV shows from the 1970s to early 2000s but was probably best known for 3 years as Deputy Cletus on the Dukes of Hazzard has also passed

I was a kid when Bobbie Sherman was a big deal (maybe bigger than Justin Bieber) and remember Rick Hurst.
Last week, I read that Lynn Hamilton passed away on June 19 at the age of 95. I remember her from her recurring role as Donna, Fred Sanford's girlfriend on "Sanford and Son." The article said she was also on "The Waltons."

Gerald Harper died on 2nd July. I remember him best for playing Adam Adamant a very long time ago but he was in quite a few other TV series including starring as Hadleigh. He had a very distinctive voice.

People Magazine is reporting Malcolm-Jamal Warner, best known as Theo Huxtable on "The Cosby Show" has drowned while swimming on vacation in Costa Rica. He was only 54.
He signed for 2018 Pop Century if someone wants to go about the sad business of adding him to the other thread.
