No, not another episode plug! I'd just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their comments about the podcast in the first 5 months of it's existence, and for listening to it! The figures for the episodes so far are promising for something that could very well be considered a 'niche' project, and I am very grateful to all the Card Talkers who have taken the time to download the episodes and pass on their thoughts, as wel as to those who actually participated by being interviewed by me!
I am already in the process of planning the next few episodes, and negotiating with people who are, I hope, of interest to the Non-Sport community for possible interviews, so watch this space in 2008! Harris 'Mr UK CardCast' Toser is proving to be a little difficult in his renewal negotiations - where on earth am I going to get a gold plated Winnebago at this time of year? Big Grin

It's not too late to vote on the "Best of 2007" poll - please see HERE for details!

Happy New Year to all!
Au Res.,
Paul

Right - New Year, New Episode! I'm in the process of editing and compiling the first episode of 2008, In addition to the usual stuff from that Harris bloke, we have a speial guest who joins us for a look back on the highs (and lows) of 2008, and a look forward to what 2008 might bring.
The episode should be online by the end of the week, in the usual places!
Also, please don't forget to vote in the "Best of 2007" poll if you haven't already done so - I will be recording a special episode to discuss the results in February, so it's not too late to vote if you want to see your favourite sets represented in the top ten! - full details HERE!
Au Res.,
Paul

My itunes has tried twice to download the new episode and still can't do it. It returns with an error code.

Are you sure the episode is up and working ?

Cardster:

I was able to download it via iTunes. I listened to it on Paul's site, however, which plays on my PC via the Quick Time plug-in.

Partly listened to it last night, realised it was a bit late so uploaded it to my mp3 player & listened to it on the way into work today.

Really enjoyable as always.

Thanks Paul. Thumb Up

Thanks for the comments!

Cardster, are you still having problems downloading it from iTunes? I tested it out yesterday on another PC and it downloaded successfully there.

If anyone is interested, the podcast episodes ARE available in Ogg Vorbis and a few other formats, but only if you go to the site I use for hosting the MP3 files I create HERE
- just click on the episode you want and you shouldget to a page listing a variety of format options, one of which is Ogg Vorbis.
Au Res.,
Paul

Oh Yuck! I just listened to it myself (I don't like listening to my own voice, but I usually download each episode onto my iPod and listen to it a couple of days after upload to see what it sounds like) and it sounds terrible at the start.
I will be re-editing Episode 07 this week, and replacing the existing file.
Au Res.,
Paul

The 'fixed' (mostly) version of Episode 07 is online now - and the mini-episode revealing the results of the "Best of 2007" poll will be online by the end of the week!
