Hi, Wolverine. I checked 3 of my 5 sheets and compared them to your numbers below.

My sheet with Spider Man 2099 is 681. Sheet with Dethstryk is 1083. Sheet with Doom 2099 is 955.

Looks like you have seen 2 of them, as per your list.

Of course in that mega mass produced era, even /3600 isn’t super high. Some in the other thread were speculating maybe a bunch went internally to comic dealers and execs at the show who didn’t really understand them and who knows what they did with them- I have zero idea if that’s the case or not.

Here’s the list of observed serial numbers for the 3 panels:
Panel A
761
895
955? (questioned, due to pic resolution)
988
1120

Panel B
534
590
607
664
681
704

Panel C
854
1041

So not one duplicate in this small sample, meaning 1200 total still very possible. Here the question though: if there were 1200 total, what is the rhyme or reason to the numbering in relation to the panels? That code has never been cracked. It’s obviously not first 400 are A, second 400 are B, third 400 are C. It’s also not sequential, like ABCABCABCABC. In fact it’s not clear what it could be at all..just random or something? That doesn’t make much sense. Perhaps this is one sign supporting maybe it was 1200 of each.

Also why every number being >500? That doesn’t make sense if these were random draws from 1-1200, chances of that are like .0009.

I may have been slightly high on the $500 number…but still these are probably $300-500 on avg. One did sell for as low as $108 back in May at auction on eBay, but perhaps people just didn’t see the listing.

I bought one at a show and sold it around 2005, I think. At the time, it was a rather rare item for sale. When they started increasing in value, more started appearing for sale but it hasn't been a flood.

I figure some collectors took the sheet out of the clear block to slip it in a binder page so it could be stored with the rest of the set. They didn't like anything that doesn't fit in a page. They're kicking themselves now that a sheet in the block can go for $

My list even though I have none.

Doom 2099 / Vulture 2099 / Ravage 2099: [761, 895, 955, 988, 1006, 1014, 1120, 1126]
Fearmaster / Spider Man 2099 / Punisher 2099: [527, 533, 534, 590, 607, 664, 668, 681, 704]
Specialist / Dethstryk / Tiger Wylde: [854, 888, 889, 967, 973, 1041, 1090]

Thank you both for the additional info. I have updated my list with your numbers and will probably make a new thread dedicated to tracking the 93MU red foil promos, so as not to take this one too much off topic.

Interestingly, still no promos <500. Chances of that at random for 26 promos are .00000082, so suffice to say thats not random and for some reason the observed promos are only >500.

Also still no repeats…so yet a sliver of hope the total of all groups is /1200 (or even just /700 if nothing below 500), rather than each /1200. Although with 26 I guess we shouldn’t necessarily expect a repeat.

A signed Marvel Comics Staff #19 Marcus McLaurin card sold for something less than $500 on Feb 8. I'm wondering if the buyer got it for $350-400 because $500 would be a lot for one of those. Those have been more like $10-30 (more for the more famous e.g. Romita) since 2020 with the #1 Stan Lee going for $100-300 depending on the buyer.

I see two Marilyn Monroe (Private Collection, 1994) prototypes, Proto 2 and 4 from "Group 4" as listed in PCE2008 sold as a pair for $29 today. Those are the ones with the pink and bluish-green borders on the front and the green stripe across the top on the back. That was a pretty good deal.

Sellers are trying to get $30 or more for these but they are very slow sellers over $25. Longtime collectors already have the ones in this group. They're looking for the much rarer ones especially those in "Group 8" which hardly ever appear for sale.

I just noticed that there's another Marilyn Monroe prototype (102P) that sold recently. It went for a Best Offer less than $29 (so maybe $25?) on January 8. It's one with the interrupted green stripe and a smaller photo at the upper left corner.

Thanks, David. I have four of the green ones which I picked up 5-6 years ago as a lot for about $15 a piece shipped. At the time I suspected there might be a fifth one but it was a good deal then and now. I see someone wanting $300 for 3 highly-graded ones, calling it a set.

Edit: And on the brown ones...I don't think I've ever seen those and certainly nothing for sale in recent years. I've seen the light brown Norma Jeane ones but haven't seen a set offered since the 2000's.

Jess, I can send you scans of the ones I have. Maybe you post them.

My email has been down since March 1st and I am trying to get it restored. They are working on it

Thanks but I don't need any right now. I have some and someone else is already sending me what I don't have. There's no hurry.
