| Teddy Johnson died June 6th aged 97. He may not be widely known to American audiences but during the 1950's and 1960's he was well known to UK audiences as a light entertainer with his wife Pearl Carr. They appeared in various UK trade sets including Kane Products Ltd and A & BC. From Who-Z-at-Star A & BC issued 1958 [IMG:left] [/IMG] [IMG:left] [/IMG] From Madison Recording Stars issued circa 1960 I believe Pearl Carr is still living at the retirement home where she and Teddy lived, She was born in 1920. regards John ____________________

Link to a card, maybe? He had several. (simple death announcements could go in this thread) Ellison wrote what I think was the best of the original Star Trek episodes, City on the Edge of Forever; and the best of the Twilight Zone revival episodes, Paladin of the Lost Hour. He's know primarily as a genre writer, but his best short stories are as good as any ever written, in literature or in genre work. |
