I think I read somewhere that The Sandman production knew it was going to finish after a second season before they began filming it, before all the Gaiman issues came out. It looked like the plug was being pulled on it regardless.

It appears that NBC is cutting many of its shows to make room for basketball games, which earn the network 2.5 billion a year.

There are rumors that Disney is unhappy with the falling ratings of "Doctor Who" and that Ncuti Gatwa will be replaced after 2 seasons.

According to some sources, Amazon and the BBC are going relaunch the show as "Dr. Who" but not as a regular TV series.

In my view Doctor Who has been in a downward spiral ever since Matt Smith regenerated. I always recorded the programme to watch again before the next episode was broadcast but after the Matt Smith era was over I soon stopped the practice as I did not think the programme from then on warranted a second viewing.

I knew "DMV" was in trouble before its fall premiere. The commercials that ran across the summer were not funny.

Yeah, the finale was two weeks ago. I miss it. It was tough when Letterman left. I'd been watching Letterman since the early 80's when he started. Colbert did his own thing. There was a side story about how much he was into "Lord of the Rings." He often brought on actors from the movies and he had to ask them additional questions about the making of the movies. In a rare on-location bit he even filmed segments in New Zealand where the movie was shot.

The best bit was when Liv Tyler came on several years ago. She brought along the special sword her character had and she let Colbert hold it. He was clearly overjoyed. She told him she kept it in storage and then he asked, "You mean you don't play with it every night?"

I lose nothing with the departure of Stephen Colbert. I almost never tuned in for years, only on rare nights when there was a certain guest I wanted to see. Since the second Trump term began, his monologues have been about nothing else. And they were not funny, just spitting mad and nasty. A comedian is supposed to make you laugh, but Colbert had one topic and no jokes. None of the current Late-Night Hosts could hold a candle to Johnny Carson.

I don't think Comics Unleashed will do that well in the time slot either. Those syndicated shows have been used as a filler on other stations. Only saving grace for CBS is that they don't have to pay Colbert multi-millions to lose multi-millions anymore.
