I'll be putting out my second set in the next few months, not entirely sure if i will go Kickstarter or preorder route but my first one went well. I stress these are BETA and have not been completed yet.

More info in the next few weeks!

I didn't see any mention of it above, but there is also a project for Grump ! The Loneliest Kid on your Block. For $10, you get 2 exclusive cards, similar to the nice metal promo they had at the SDCC last month

I referenced this one a few posts back (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sotelo/grump-the-loneliest-kid-on-your-block-until-now). There are only 8 hours left! There are a total of 3 metal trading cards available and she'll work with you to get them all, if you want. Plus there are sketch cards available!

On the Grump, I was told that the 3rd card is the same as the San Diego one. True ?

That is correct. The card that had limited quantities available was her remaining SDCC cards from the show. Nothing is different on that card, just a great opportunity for people to get it if they didn't make the show.

The other 2 cards are new which are "Periwinkle" & "Bat Country" (great Fear & Loathing piece!) Smile

As mentioned before, there's also sketch cards available too and she's happy to help you combine things to get what you want. Just drop her a note!

Mantic Games will be taking their upcoming MARS ATTACKS miniatures game to kickstarter. They have had huge success there with some previous projects and are excited about MA.

There are some ideas for special products for donors, including exclusive Topps' cards, comics and other cool things.

Another idea is two allow fans to purchase these extras without spending the larger amounts needed to order their whole game.

Maybe a silly statement but I think the project is going to have to include cards to entice card collectors, except for the really hardcore Mars Attacks card collectors who will probably buy mostly anything MA related (and I know there are some).

Will the game itself include a card component?

Regardless, it's a cool concept and I'm looking forward to hearing more about it. What do other people think?

The game will use a combination card/miniature mechanic for gameplay, much like other games in this category. The game cards will likely be text/design based rather than art-based however.

The idea is to entice card collectors to donate as you say by offering exclusive MA cards-- possibly some of the cards we had to remove from the main set.

The one big plus is that Mantic wants to offer an option where collectors could donate a smaller amount and receive the cards, rather than donate a large amount and receive everything (the game and other exclusives).

The same goes for a proposed exclusive IDW comic book.

Mantic is offering 4 exclusive Mars Attacks trading cards on their MARS ATTACKS: THE MINIATURES GAME project.

There is even a $15 pledge level that will net you ONLY the cards if that's all you want.

Here's the link for anyone who wants to check out the Agent: Wild campaign. There's 9 days to go, it's fully funded and almost to a stretch goal! Really nice artwork, like a mix of Alan Davis and Bart Sears

I received my Vampress Luxura the other day. They sent me, among other things, a postcard, a bookmark, and a 9 card "set". The 9 cards are numbered between C0I-00 and P24. Anyone know if this is the complete set ? The Kickstarter page says that if you paid a certain amount you were to get a 9 card set. There was no mention of random cards...
