Maybe if you stare into the refractor effect for too long, you seen other colors...other universes.

You have the source for these as "general distribution" but these can be hard to find and I haven't seen anyone offer a set in years. I was wondering if these were actually test cards or otherwise unreleased, because back in the 90's, I knew of only one source for these (comic shop in New York somewhere). I figured somebody might've dumpster dove behind Topps again and rescued a quantity. Or. are they hard to find now because a lot of people didn't want them back then because they were oversized and threw them away?

I've not seen but the five I list. I suspect these came from a retailer seminar and were not issued to the public. But Ive not found any info of course so it remains a mystery. Perhaps I should note that in the write up, but I have nothing to back it. Just an educated assumption.

This is what I see when I go to the site. I've used a couple different browsers. My zoom is set at 100%.

I think it has to do with your screen resolution. You seem to have an ultra-wide monitor as well.

I dont know what all the furore is about, you just have to scroll down and up comes all sites and info bars you can click on too for what you need
No hassle.
Might be different on a phone , have not tried it on my phone might just try it out and see what happens.
As said in a former post it is easier to type in the set you want to find instead of scrolling the list.
Dont worry about what you initially see on the screen just scroll.

Well I can certainly see how that would be irritating. I really dont know what it does that for you and not me. Ive tried it on Brave, Edge, and DuckDuckGo. All look good to me.

Personally I have no problem with the site. Even to find this post I had to do a bit of scrolling but according to what I heard on the news this morning if I understood it correctly I should expect to waste over 4 years of my life just scrolling. Does that apply to using just a phone or any computer type machine. If it applies to only phone use then I should be saving those 4 years as I don't have a phone.# nor do I scroll aimlessly as card collecting is not boring.

Here's a prediction, you will get a smart phone at some point in the coming years as long as you are still active. You will have to get one because you will need it to function in this world.

Until 4 years ago I resisted, I had a flip cell and that was fine by me. Then I found my data was getting entered into all these networks that wanted to contact me, wanted text responses, wanted pictures, wanted scans, wanted codes. Most of it was junk, but I started missing or delaying some important stuff. I gave up. Don't know if the UK is any different, but a smart phone in the US is a necessity, even for people who don't use it as a mini laptop.

You don't have to load it up with apps. You can keep your personal data off of it. You don't have to link it to your other devices. You can password protect it, but sadly you are forced to use it, and it stinks.

Well back in your day you learned to tell the time by the sun, the moon, and the tides. Big Grin

But the only people who wear watches now are the ones showing off their Rolexes and Patek Philippes. The time and date are what phones are for. Wink

As I have said i never owned a mobile phone or wanted one and whenever I have needed one one there have been plenty of people willing and able to help. That has happened a couple of times when I have been on a train that has been delayed by one reason or another

My watch of choice is a "Swatch" and I have had several over the years, my current one needs a new strap when I am ready to look for one but I am in no rush.

I had a flip phone from around 2002 and it was still working in 2022 (dropped it on hard surfaces many times, fell into a bucket of water too), but on January 1 or 2 of 2023 it was the network that stopped working. They shut it down. You couldn't access the internet on that phone but you could call and text.

These days, you need a smart phone to get a job. You need one to confirm your identity if you get locked out of your email. You need to get that code.

I don't understand why people use their phones to access the web or watch movies. The screen is so small. It's like watching a flea circus.

Yeah, sorry to jump off the Promo Encyclopedia topic, sometimes conversations take a different turn, and I love to joke around with people. I admire anyone who can live without a smart phone, it just got too impractical for me. You're right Jess, everybody sends a code for everything, and they all want you signed into their network.

As for watching films or shows on the phone, I do it now. If you have Netflix or Prime you can link devices for the same price, so you do it when you're stuck waiting some place. Once you start it you get hooked. This stuff is so addictive to adults, I can only imagine what it does to kids. Now with AI, I fear they are doomed, or at least seriously screwed up. Wink

I am still old school as whenever I have to go to the dentist, hospital or travel more than 20 minutes on the train I always take a book to read. Surely peering at a small screen will ultimately give you eye problems in later life.
