Here are three images of a motion card that promotes the martial arts action movie, "Romeo Must Die," which was released in theaters in 2000. As you flip the card back a little, the month of release flashes in the upper left corner then disappears as the movie's website appears in the upper right corner while the words "If Hope Dies" appear and disappear followed by the words "If Love Dies," and as those words disappear, the words, "If Honor Dies" appear. All that while the man in the scene kicks and swings a sword. The card measures 3 5/8 x 4 3/4 inches. I have been unable to find out the source. It's a well-made motion card so it seems to have been a special giveaway somewhere. Edit: I don't know why it's cut off at the top and bottom. The image I used is not cut off like that. I resized it considerably, saved it, and reuploaded it, but somehow, it came out the same. I might try again later. This message has been edited. Last edited by: catskilleagle,

Here are the two unnumbered cards (Takeshi Mori, 2001) I got from a DVD, "Vandread: The Second Stage "Sacrifice". They promote "Vandread: The Second Stage," the "second stage" meaning "Season 2." Vandread is a Japanese anime TV series that ran for two seasons (2000-2002). The shrinkwrap had a sticker that says "Includes Holographic Foil Cards." These cards have refractor foil (holofoil) fronts and they have the same regular card backs. The foil effect is nice but it just shows as blue in the scan. Both cards have the same tiny numbers in the upper right corner so they aren't card numbers. They might indicate that they were inserted together in the same DVD. One Ebay seller says it's a 14-card set but he includes larger cards that weren't inserted with DVD's so those are probably separate. It might be a 6-card set from the DVD's. There are also cards with DVD's with episodes from the first season. They don't say "Second Stage" on them. This message has been edited. Last edited by: catskilleagle,

Here's a card (Mike Aloisi, 1986) I'd like to hear from others about. It's one of 8 different unnumbered Funimals cards that were inserted 1-per issue of Non-Sport Update Volume 4, Number 4 (October-December 1993 issue). It's an entry in the NSU Promotional cards thread. The card measures 4 x 5 1/2 inches and was packed in its own paper envelope. Is this card a promo (or prototype) or is it a base card sent out as a sample? It's not listed in PCE2008. Someone might think that either Todd hadn't seen it or he didn't consider it a promo. However, even if he didn't think it was a promo, he usually notes when base cards were distributed as samples. The copyright info has a 1986 date. Why was a 1986 card inserted into a 1993 magazine?
