Here's something for the Hercules or Xena fan who thought they had all the cards. It's an unnumbered, dual-image lenticular 2-card panel inserted with a Wal-Mart exclusive edition VHS of "Hercules and Xena: The Battle for Mount Olympus" (Universal Cartoon Studios, 1997). It's still in its cello-pack with the panel measuring 4 x 5 inches. There's a seam between the cards so it looks like you can separate the cards if you want. The images change from Hercules and Xena as animated characters to photos of the live-action actors (Kevin Sorbo and Lucy Lawless) as you turn the card. ![]()

Here's a promo that had been mentioned before as out there but no one seemed to have an image of it. It's a promo for "The Barbie Collection" trading card set (The River Group, 1993) which appears to be different from "Barbie Fashion Play Cards," which was a released product. I can't find a listing for "The Barbie Collection" in any of the guides of the time so it was likely cancelled. ![]()

I never saw this 1990s promo by Arnie Sawyer Studios before. Maybe someone can lift the image, please ? https://www.ebay.com/itm/16463...tkp%3ABk9SR5LA4MmHZQ

Here's "The Dream Team" 6-card promo set. The cards are undated though one of them refers to the spring of 2003 as being in the future. The source is unknown but the wording on the backs indicates that these cards were given out at a convention where representatives of cable stations met with distributors to negotiate licensing rights leading to TV shows going into syndication. I'd never seen this set before coming across them last fall. ![]() ![]()

This card was inserted with a Johnny Lightning "Surf Rods" (2000) die-cast toy car. In another thread I posted an image of one from the 2001 set. There appear to be at least one other set of the cars but I'm not sure they have cards with them. The packaging calls the cards "snapshots" as the black & white images are from photos taken in the 1960's by surfer/photographer, LeRoy Grannis. As with many Johnny Lightning cards, the backs are blank but the Surf Rods snapshots have no identifying marks - not even a company logo seen on other cards. The cards are also an odd size - 2 3/8 x 2 3/8. The set number might be 18 (the number of different cars available). ![]()

Recently, I found an unnumbered collector card/game piece promoting the VHS and DVD release of the "Stuart Little" movie in 2000. I don't know if there are others in the set and haven't seen this particular Stuart Little promotion before. I also don't recall the "Break Cakes" brand so I wonder if it was a regional deal. ![]()

Today, I tracked down the Editor of the 1991 Violent Cases comic and he told me that there were 4 different cards, including this one, and that he will try to dig them out for me.

Here's a promo that was mentioned in another thread. It promotes Arnie Sawyer Studios, Inc., a company that designed some trading card sets for Topps and Skybox in the 90's (Star Wars Galaxy, Marvel Masterpieces 1993, Marvel Universe III and IV). I don't remember seeing this card before that mention earlier this year. ![]()

I noted this "Stuart Little 2" promo (Columbia Pictures Industries, 2002) several years ago in the PCE additions/corrections thread but I didn't have an image at the time (had 2 of the cards at one time but couldn't find them). It's from a 4-card set promoting the VHS and DVD release of the movie "Stuart Little 2" (Columbia Pictures Industries, 2002). The cards were inserted one per package of Casa Fiesta taco shells with each in its own cello-pack. The fronts with show a scene from the movie; the backs have a brief description of the scene along with Casa Fiesta and Columbia Tristar Home Entertainment logos. These cards rarely appear for sale but demand is low so they still go for just around $5 each. I think it was a rather short promotion. I should have had Taco Tuesday every week for at least a month until I had a full set. ![]()

It doesn't happen most of the times I go to a flea market (I have fallen flat on my face, literally) but there's a good one near here once a month and another not far away so there's always a chance at finding an interesting book or something. I just keep my eyes open. Sometimes, I spot a still-sealed toy I haven't seen before and notice, "Hey, there's a card in there."

For years, I had seen only one Violent Cases promo and figured it was a 1-card set but it has been recently revealed to be a 7-card set. They have different fronts but the same back. Edit: I have been told that two of the cards do have slightly different backs but you get the idea. ![]() This message has been edited. Last edited by: catskilleagle,

Actually, all of the backs have different sayings. I have seen the scans of the other 6 and this is what they say: - Front says "You can't get it here" and the back says "Without true facts, where are we ?" - Front says "You can get it here" and the back is the same as the one I just mentioned - Front says "Memory" and the back says "Blood and brains splatter grey and red on white" - Front says "Evil" and the back says "Did they have games at gangster parties ?" - Front says "Dave McKean" and the back says "We've been calling you for a long time" - Front says "Neil Gaiman" and back says "They were nice to me all the way home"
