Edd Byrnes became famous in 77 Sunset Strip, but typecasting limited his options after that. But he still acted for much of the 60s and 70s. He passed away last week.

Wes Wilson was one of the main artists who did "psychedelic" styled posters for rock concerts in the late 1960s. He died last Friday, age 82. Some of his work was featured in the 2010 Breygent Psychedelic Posters set, shown below. (numerous examples of his other posters are here.)

Who is Alan Harris?
Is there any reason that his death should be noted in a thread about the non-sport cards of people who have passed away?

He was in Star Wars and played Bounty Hunter Bossk. I did have to look him up and I don't know if he was on any cards, so don't blame me Bill. Big Grin

I believe Bill is giving a subtle hint that reference to Alan Harris is in the wrong thread as this thread is intended for those recently deceased who have a trading card. I have put a comment in the right thread just to appease Bill.

regards

John

Also wanted to add another couple of cards of the wonderful Terry Jones of Monty Python, his departure noted earlier in the thread (two down and four to go, as John Cleese quipped).

Here is Terry's "Knight" foil chase card from the Widevision "Holy Grail" set and a regular promo card from "The Life of Brian", a set never made. Terry is at right.

Jones also wrote the beloved fan favorite movie "Labyrinth" starring David Bowie.

I couldn't easily find images of these cards online, which I began looking for month ago when the great Neil Innes passed away.
Not only was Innes a frequent Python collaborator, here shown as the singing minstrel immediately behind the cowardly "Brave" Sir Robin, but he also played the John Lennon parody character in the classic Beatles spoof, "The Rutles", again opposite Eric Idle who was Sir Robin in "Holy Grail".

Here are a couple of CCG cards with a better look at Neil's character.

Sorry for the delay in noting Neil's passing as he passed away on December 30th, 2019, but I had to dig out the actual cards to scan them.

Same was true with cards of Buck Henry, the comic genius who passed away on January 8th, 2020. These are from the "Man Who Fell To Earth" card set. Buck wrote the screenplay to the classic movie "The Graduate", co-created "Get Smart" with Mel Brooks, and hosted multiple episodes of Saturday Night Live during the show's early formative years.

Funny and talented men, all three. May they rest in peace.
