Yet another HUNGER GAMES film is coming Nov 2026 This is the sixth one. You had the 4 originals between 2012 and 2015 and then another one in 2023 Seems like they keep recycling ideas !

There is a fourth NARNIA film coming in December 2026, The Magician's Nephew. As you might recall, the first three films came out way back in 2005, 2008 and 2010. These were the first 3 books in the NARNIA series. The Magician's Nephew was the 6th of the 7 books in the series.

If WB is smart they'll move Dune. Avengers will crush everything else.

Guess other movie threads are getting the posts. I'll put this one about "Clayface" here for a bump. Coming out right before Halloween 2026 is the DC comic based "Clayface". It was originally postponed. Don't really remember too much about this character from my comic book days but the film is being billed as "body horror", which doesn't actually appeal to me as a reason to see anything. I guess the villain as anti-hero may have picked up with Spawn and Venom, but then it got overworked. Even Joker is hit and miss as the star. "Clayface" is being advertised as the darkest DC film yet, if anybody needs any more darkness after "Supergirl", so don't expect many chuckles in this one either.

So here's another one still coming this year, for Xmas no less. They are showing the trailer for "Violent Night 2" in theatres. If you haven't seen the first one called not surprisingly "Violent Night", it's currently on Netflix. It stars David Harbour, John Leguizamio and Beverly D'Angelo. It is R rated, very violent, very foul language and in parts very funny. I put it on out of boredom and actually enjoyed it. I don't know how many people will pay movie money to see the sequel, but the first one made money somewhere, and I'll catch #2 eventually. But just to let you know, in case you can't get passed the stupidity of the idea, and this is not a spoiler because its right at the beginning of the film. You might think there must be some catch to make this nonsense sensible. No, there isn't. "Violent Night" really is "Die Hard" meets the Santa Claus Home Alone. I hear #2 is bringing on Mrs. Claus.

It's not as rabid a base as Christoper Nolan's acolytes, but Dune director Villenueve is also his own brand by now. Add Chalamet and Zendaya, and that's a lot more tickets sold. Avengers will be #1, of course, but Dune will also get plenty. It'll be one of those "Barbenheimer" type phenomenons with the social media aspect of people posting that they saw both movies on the same day, I think. Or, Warner Brothers could blink and move Dune up or back a week. ____________________ Everywhere around this burg they're running out of verbs, adverbs, and adjectives. It may be too late to change release dates what with so much scheduling that has to made in advance of movie premieres these days. However, I think it would be wise for Dune to be moved. If the third film sticks to the source material that story may not wind up the way many of its fans who only know the films would like it. I'm not saying it won't be a hit because anyone who watched the first two will show up for the ending. However, Dune always went downhill for me, and the best part of the story has already been shown, unless they are going to pivot somehow. Now there is some talk that Villenueve did want to fiddle with the ending, but that he is making it even darker. What it needs is to be lighter, not more darkness. The Avengers will crush it if Dune is a lump of coal for Christmas.
