Am I missing something or is Ebay hiding best offer sales data?

Would you mind expounding on what you're saying?

Actually the more I think about it they have always done that. For example this auction lists $199 or BIN but gives no indication what it sold for. Searching sold items gives the impression it sold for $199 but 130 Point site shows it sold for $175.

As an eBay seller, I have access to what any item sold for in the last 3 years, be it in a pure auction, BIN, or Best Offer. When I searched for this card, it sold for $175.00.

I understand your comment, and it's interesting that buyers can't see the final selling price, whereas sellers can. One possible reason is that eBay doesn't want buyers to see how much of a discount a specific seller is willing to give on his merchandise, especially if that seller customarily lists his items with the best offer option. Similarly, they probably don't want buyers in general to push the best offer button too far and make ridiculously low offers, which are sometimes accepted by desperate sellers, as that trend would affect eBay's bottom line. So, for those who want to know the true selling price, they make them jump through hoops to suit their purpose. Unfortunately, c'est la vie.

On ebay.com a BIN sales price is listed on sold items at the top item price and if you put the items into high to low they are listed in that list at the top price. If you look on ebay.co.uk for the sale prices they show the top price but are listed within the list at there sale price. So you can get an auction lower each side and can work out a rough actual sale price.

I don't sell on ebay, but I have access to Product Research, with sales data going back three years.

I haven't bought on eBay in a while. So, that research option is available to buyers, as well, for free?
