So something called 2026 Topps Vault Marvel has popped up without a release date so far. Since it has 2026 in the title, I guess we can shoot for this year, maybe. Anyway this is very high end with no price as yet, but expectations are over $1,000 per box.

There are only 2 cards per box. The cards have on-card autographs, sticker signatures, multiple signers, sketches and prop relics. Every main star ever in a Marvel role is included in the press, but of course not guaranteed yet, and the numbers are sure to be super scarce.

So if you still have a taste for Marvel and feel lucky, start saving up now.

Oh no, what if you get just a prop relic and a not-that-great sketch. There goes your lunch money to somewhere in March 2027 or will it be, "The next box HAS to be good and maybe make up for the first one."

Yeah, my feeling is that the pairs will be one autograph of some kind and then a prop card or sketch. I doubt that you would pull two autographs from one box. I'm still calling it a box, but come on, does 2 cards really count as a box?

Anyway they also have cards with those diamond chips, like the black diamond gemstone products. I'm curious to see the price. Some are saying up to $1,500 per box, which means the average pull would have to be $500 - $750 a card just to break even. I don't see prop cards or numbered diamonds making that. The sketches would have to be exceptional, and the autographs would have to average 4 figures, which not all will do either.

While all the big actors and characters seem to be in play, nearly all of the stars have appeared as signers already. If not in previous Marvel sets, in other lesser titles for different roles. Also, there are a few secondary actors/signers named in the mix that never go that high.

I have little doubt that the flippers or dealers will sell this through, because they have done it so far. After that it will be a hot potato to see if the profit is there for them. Even in the limited quantities, the overall volume of Marvel high end cards will reach the saturation point eventually. Maybe with this one, maybe the next one.

I don't mind waiting. Sometime down the road there will be good bargains on at least some of these autograph cards that don't move fast enough. That's when I'll take notice, but not before, and not with blind boxes.

Just took a quick look at Blowout and they are guesstimating values that are unbelievable. And they could be right because this market is insane.

But I want to tell you folks in case you have any doubt, this is not card collecting. This is high stakes gambling.
