It's not Upper Deck's products that hold it back, it's how they operate. I haven't bought a box of cards made by UD in at least the last ten years and it's not because I didn't see anything I liked either. It's because of the way they choose to do business. Eliminate the skip hit formula for boxes, drop e-Pack hold overs, stick to a release schedule, and get an actual distribution network going and then maybe I can buy something from them again.

I wonder if Warner Bros is taking the non-exclusive route with the DC trading card license. Cryptozoic is still releasing CZPlus Dark Knights: Metal later his year. That’ll be refreshing to have multiple manufacturers in the trading card market place after some sparse years for DC trading card releases.

Could securing the DC license be away for Upper Deck to offset losing the Marvel license next year?
