Decided to try my luck on my way out of the motor city comic con. Found a dealer who sells mostly comics, statues, magic, and odd ball items. He had a box of packs, and in there was a last pack of star wars galaxy 6 for a buck. Turned out pretty well.

Oddly, the scan does not even do the card justice. Its even better looking in person.

Nice! IIRC, autos weren't guaranteed in that release were they? If not, then you got your money's worth on it!

A not so well kept secret called EBay Thumb Up

Other packs I've posted about on here have been from my local card store too.

It's great when sellers/stores don't cherry pick them!

According to Inkworks official site autos were 1:59 packs (1 every 2 boxes) so for 1 random pack bought of EBay for about £2 it wasn't a bad pull at all! Thumb Up

So its seems I'm the only person who buys packs anymore Wink or maybe just too many Confused
anyhow picked up a pack of Sabrina the Teenage Witch which is a set I've always wanted to 'try'.

I picked up 1 pack and pulled S6 chase card (1:18) Elephant For 'sparkly/shiny' foils they're actually quite nice chase cards. I don't think much of the major chase (Autos) with the 'stickers' to be honest and I know some parts eg Binder are rare/over priced and then on the 'flip side' sealed boxes are really cheap but full of 'filler' base cards and even a 'major hit' is just a redemption so don't think I'll persue but nice to see a few cards to try it out.

Haha sorry it went from 'look what I pulled' to 'here's what I think'...

Anyhow think I'll be cutting back on my pack buying for a while now but it's been pretty good.

Don't worry, Mister E - that batch of posts were from a spammer; the spammer has now been blocked and their posts deleted.

Thanks to the Card Talker who posted the alert - if anyone sees this sort of thing happening again, the best thing is hit the "Report This Post" icon (the little yellow triangle with an exclamation mark down there in the bottom right hand corner of every post)) - this sends a message to the board owner and all the moderators that a post needs to be looked at.
Au Res.,
Paul

Picked up some Hollywood Pin Ups (1994) & Don't Let It Happen Here (2003)packs off Ebay:

Got x 2 diff. Marily (M2 & M3)cards in Hollywood packs, plus x 2 whole base sets! (/22 packs) Clap and a whole bunch of duplicates! Twak

Got x 4 Eek hand #/1945 checklists & x 1 autograph in Don't Let It... set (/21 packs). Elephant Plus 1 whole base set, nearly a 2nd base set Wink and a few duplicates (Not as many as I thought - brilliant correlation) Thumb Up

Waiting on a box of American Pride (Inkworks/2001) which I know isn't the 'most ''interesting'' when it comes to sets but it's one I've wanted for years so real excited to be getting a whole set, plus actually going to use the stickers on the duplicates and trade the rest, plus happy to be getting a sealed box (I like to collect empty box/packs for set I really Luv You).

Guess I'll be posting that in the breakdown section though Thumb Up

Popped into my local Worlds Apart on Thursday and they were having a sale on Trading cards. I picked up 18 packs of Stargate Heroes for £9 and pulled the two costume cards and the three auto's:

Chase:
Atlantis Season 5: 10,14,20
Continuum:1,4,8

Costumes:C66,C70
Auto's:
Patrick Sabongui as Kanaan
Jaime Ray Newman as Lt.Laura CadmanSmile
David Hewlett as Dr.Rodney McKay Big Grin

Best £9 I've ever spent.

Went back to Worlds Apart today and they still had some packs on sale for a £1 a pack so I picked up all the packs they had left. 1xStarTrek movie (nothing pulled),4xLost S1 thru S5(one chase pulled) and 14x Lost Archives and pulled one chase and three auto's: Kim Dickens as Cassidy Phillips,Sterling Beaumon as Young Ben and Ian Somerhalder as Boone Carlyle. Not to bad for the money spent.
