Hi Ross, I've never posted a photo using a phone. I've been doing it with a laptop for years. Technically, the images aren't added as part of the post. An embedded link is added with the post. The link allows you to see the image as it sits elsewhere on the web. There must be some extra step or a somewhat different set of steps to embed a link using a phone. I don't know. As I recall, I had to deviate a little from the steps I was given to make it work.

Hi Jess Sorry to be late replying to this post thanks for the reply . I cant get the procedure of getting pictures to another format just cant get it but i will have to get more tuition on it. Just thought that it would be easier with someone who knew what he was doing and it would work from a phone. All good thanks Piko

If I take a picture on my phone that I want to post here, these are the steps I take: 1. Take picture. 2. Upload to Google Photos 3. Download to my computer (I don't like doing things on my phone if I can do them on my computer). 3.b. (optional) Crop and color correct the photo with Irfanview (a free, barebones, simple-to-use photo editor). 4. Upload the photo to my account at postimages.org (a free image hosting service). 5. Copy the associated "direct link" from postimages.org and embed it in a post here. Cardtalk does not host images. They have to be online somewhere else on the internet, and hotlinked in a post here (using the "landscape" icon in the tabs above the Reply window here at CT). Postimages is the hosting service I use, but there are other ways to get an image online. You can get a free wordpress blog, for example, and upload images there and hotlink them here. Until last year, TCDB.com (a database hosting thousands and thousands of nonsports card images) would allow you to hotlink their images, but they have disallowed that.

Thanks Bill i will try out your instructions. It is uploading them to other formats that I can not get. However I have arranged to get someone to get me started on the right track As I llive in a remote area this could take a while but I hope I can get instructions by phone rather than going on a long trip to get it sorted. Will see what happens once again thanks
