It's never an easy choice to leave what you love doing.

I'm only a collector (have traded/sold over the years) but things have slowed down the in the past 5 years or so when I could no longer justify spending $50 (Not including +$20 shipping & $30 import tax to UK = $100) on a box with content not even worth $35 sometimes...

Having said that there are my almost master sets that I could for not - sentimental value, part with unless money was really, really that tight.
