Star Wars is owned by Disney. Topps is owned by Fanatics. I don't know which owner is worse when it comes to securing their own empire. They don't bother to tell anybody anything. They figure you need them more than they need you, and apparently they are right, although they don't make a dime off me anymore. Big Grin

No, I have seen nothing on cards for the new movie, but that could change quickly if demand warrants it. Fanatics wants a direct-to-consumer sale model, either through their own platform or their own store outlets. No retail middlemen necessary to them and everybody else is on their own. The hobby food chain is not the same and good luck to anyone still trying to keep up with Star Wars products. Wink

No official set at the moment, all I'm aware of are these: https://cardgamer.com/guides/m...n-grogu-promo-cards/

There's also this one-off poster series: https://www.topps.com/products...andalorian-and-grogu

I picked up the first 2 Mandalorian sets from Topps when they came out years ago. I have also collected most of the SW sets until about 3 to 4 years ago when Topps changed things around making it virtually impossible for dealers to get the cards. I literally have no idea what was the last SW set that Topps released. Anyone know ?

Depends on what type of release you are talking about. If you are really interested in any new Star Wars cards, you have to go directing to the Topps website. Sure enough, they are selling "Mandalorian & Grogu" cards, but its Topp Now made to order issues, not any traditional set yet.

As far as what was last out, they did have a Masterworks release for 2025. Those are great cards, but hardly for the common man, and there are almost no living Star Wars actors who still command the huge prices because they are showing up as signers in cheaper products and doing in-person. Only Ford still holds a solid #1 and Hamill as #2 has really upped his ante, even in just the past year.

All the Star Wars products used to come through my local hobby shop, but I started to pass long ago. Now I don't have to because the way these cards are made and ordered, they don't even bother. Really the only traditional non-sport hobby boxes on mainstream titles that I see now come from Rittenhouse and Upper Deck, with Cryptozoic once in a blue moon.

You know what's driving the card business and keeping the lights on for hobby stores today? Gaming cards. I go to my LHS and there are 80% gamers all day, every day. Weird Disney cards are selling well too, but I don't even know what that stuff is or why anyone would want it. Big Grin

Card companies are so worried about a movie bombing that they won't take a risk doing a set even for a Star Wars movie. Mandalorian has a good track record unless that last Chrome set didn't do well.

Fanatics wants all the money but then they all get stuck with all the product that doesn't sell. Those print-per-order cards are great for them but not all collectors go for that. Collectors want some of the old stuff and less of the new stuff because some of the new stuff is for suckers.

Hey Jess, suckers you say? How about Topps digital cards.

Even better, Topps autographed digital cards.

Why collect a worthless custom-made card, when you can collect a picture of a worthless custom-made card? The lunatics are running the asylum. Big Grin

Saw a bunch of Mandalorian products at Bath and Body Works today. Hand lotions, body cream, candles, Yoda sponges, and even lunchboxes
