I have been reading Blowout posts and it seems that from some posts that the lower the number on the card the more expensive it can become.
This is not the set number but cards numbered of 100 or how many are in the set

Especially in sports cards if the number matches the jersey number. I can image a Bond card 007/100 attracting a premium but some collectors like a low number.

I purchased a Bond chase card of Eva Green in Casino Royale totally because it had the machine stamped number 007 on the back of it. I had no need of the card i just thought it would be a cool thing to have.

beware sometimes the number 1/100. You can find that all 100 cards have this number because it signifys that the card is one of a hundred and not card number one of a hundred.

....... and then of course there are the unnumbered cards left over from the set released by the manufacturer into the world which the buyer then writes a number on and bob's your auntie now there are two cards out there with number five on them.

Keep in mind that in many instances these numbered cards are just variants of a normal base card. For example, a green foil variant may be numbered to 399, while a blue foil is numbered to 100, etc. It’s the same image as the base card, just a different color foil. I personally don’t care for them but it seems to be popular with a lot of collectors.

Many of the pre-printed Unstoppable foil cards are numbered 1/100 or 1/200. They all have the same stamp. They are not x/100 or x/200
