Absolutely. For this series it's pretty easy with the promos because the logo on the front is in color for normal promos. In some other series the logo on the promo fronts is B&W, and for Avengers 2 series that's true with the autograph cards. At least for Set 3 the regular images should all be in color, unless they include cards showing Honor or Diana or leftover co-stars from the Cathy and Emma eras.

In addition to Roman having 2 promos, he has 2 foil promos, which although also numbered RK1 and RK2, have totally different fronts from the 2 regular promos. Supposedly only 9 sets made. Saw a set sell on "the auction site" the other day.

UK Dealer Mitchy also had a promo on this set, which came in regular and proof versions. Possibly numbered MP1, like his other promos. I didn't see the backs. He sent me a scan of them back in June 2020, but I never heard from him again after that, and never received the promo. Has anyone spoken to Mitchy over the past 6 months ? I wonder what happened to him...

Having been out of the hobby for a decade, I was not around when Unstoppable came onto the scene. Just recently I started to read about all the "promos" and "proofs" they have, and are still, producing and I must say its certainly maddening. One question I have (and there are more I'm sure) is: when the "dealer promos" are released to the dealers? Meaning, were the ones for Avengers Set 2 sent to dealers with the cases they ordered for Avengers Set 2, or were they sent with cases of a set that came out prior to Avengers Set 2. If they were sent to dealers with the purchases of another product, then I'd vote yes they are promos for sure. But if they were sent along with the cases that were sent of the same product, I can't see how that's promotional. If the latter is the case its not saying "hey look what we got coming next", but instead is just saying thanks for ordering the cases, here's some special cards to do whatever. To me its no different than an incentive autograph. It just says promo on it, but it isn't. That said, I'll be listing them in PCE no matter. There are collector's who want anything that says promo on it and don't care about the gray areas and the discussion about what is or isn't a promo. But I'll certainly be making note once I get the whole truth and nothing but. And why do we call sellers "dealers"? Makes it sound dirty or sleazy...drug dealer, porno dealer, car dealer...maybe we should campaign to change it to retailer or seller.

They are sent with the product they are tied to. My UFO promos will arrive at exactly the same time as my cases. But, I look at it different. These don't necessarily promote the product pictured, they promote the dealer on the card. They drive sales to that dealer. That's always how I looked at them, promoting SciFi Cards (A US dealer of these mostly UK sets). I like sleazy drug dealer, they keep taking my money whilst supplying me with my card drugs. ____________________ Come, it is time for you to keep your appointment with The Wicker Man.

It has always been card dealer, but the term was applied to someone who did it full time or part time in a professional manner with the necessary business credentials. It's not just anyone who ever sold a card on eBay, or anyone who tries to fund their case by selling off the extras, or even any of these flippers who are gambling on finding big hits. If wholesale means big and retail means smaller, then they are mainly retailers, but no one says I'm headed to my retailer for Star Wars cards. It's like the difference between calling a licensed plumber or the guy next door with a wrench when your toilet stops flushing. You know when you have someone in the business or a moonlighter. You know when you are doing business with a card dealer or a card seller.

This may be old news, but this 2020 set also had a set of 4 promos, WEB 1 to 4, which was limited to 100, and I believe was available if you pre-ordered boxes from the Unstoppable website.
