I'm sure it's out here somewhere, but with the Magazine ceasing publication with the current issue, does somebody have a master list of all the free promos that were given out in Non-Sport Update over the past 35 years The last few years might be a little messy and complicated, with different versions and different cards being inserted at random At 35 years / 6 Magazines a year / 3 promos per Magazine, that comes to around 600 promos. How many total issues of NSU have there been since 1990 ? I recall there were a few special issues made for the UK and other shows (Buffy, Star Wars, LOTR) or were they just variant covers ? I don't recall. Not counting different covers, maybe around 210-220 issues published ? Probably less. A few years ago I created a listing of all the free cards found in NSU which I then posted . Alas I did not keep it updated on line. But doing a quick check I found approximately 200 issues with another 25 variant covers. Of those 200 issues I believe 10 did not have cards. ____________________ | |||

What was the first NSU that had a promo card in it ? I think someone said it was back in 1993. Also, what was the last issue without a card ? I seem to recall that there was at least one issue within the past 5 years that had nothing included | |||

Many thanks Bassam for attaching the link to the checklist I posted. Whenever I try to do that I always get something wrong. This was the issue I originally came up with Vol 3, No. 4 Oct/Dec 1992 1 and 2 Garfield 2-card panel SkyBox International. The next issue however did not have a card but the next one did. Tommy C perhaps you can find out which one and update the list. Some time after I posted the listing I had a hiatus with the renewal of my subscription which took at least one or two issues that were not delivered. I did however manage to obtain the magazines via the secondary market without the cards although I did get some. In addition, updating the list proved to be difficult at times because I relied on the website and the magazine to provide promo information which at times was not there. This was specially harder to achieve those times when I had neglected to do the updating in a timely fashion. Still I suppose its all quite academic now. ____________________ | |||
