Got my issue today. As mentioned above, three promos inside. Conan on the cover, inside Top Ten 60's Display Boxes, interview with GPK artist David Gross and a look at TV Westerns.

I got mine at Barnes & Noble on Saturday. I has 3 promos (Craniacs Series 2, Ultraman Series 4, Peanuts). It's a great issue. One of the news items notes the passing of the artist, George Webber. Ed announced the sad news a few weeks ago. Another news item reports the auction results of some very rare test items (boxes, cards) from the Andy Yanchus collection. The cover story on Conan is interesting. Much of it is about the set coming out by Cryptozoic. It mentions past sets too including those by Comic Images. It didn't say anything about the holochrome parallels that were one (sometimes more) per box. Those still look cool. I liked the article about the card companies that came and went over time. Some people are going to get that "Trilogy of Horror" set just to get the bonus fourth set of "The Thing," the 1982 remake by John Carpenter. Stephen Colbert talked about it on his show recently with John Carpenter. Like Richard Parks, it's one of Colbert's favorite movies. He even asked Carpenter if there was a way to tell if one of the two survivors is the alien. Carpenter told him there is but didn't give him a clue.
