I'm going to the South Coast Toy and Comic Show this Sun. June 12th in Fairhaven, Mass. It runs from 10 am to 4 pm and admission is $6.
There will be some card dealers there. I know our own Dave Moulder will be there and I'll have to stop by and say, "hello." They will also have some B list celebs, too.
Check out the website at www.southcoasttoyandcomic.com

It's about an hour from my house, so it'll be a nice day trip. Taking my son, too. He'll get a kick out of seeing the Star Wars actors.

I was NOT impressed with this show at all. Only guy selling N.S.cards was our own Dave Moulder.
Thanks Dave !

Six dollars to get in and the place was hardly filled with dealers of any sort.

But the artist room was pretty jammed with people. Mostly artists from comic books {which I'm not at all familiar with} and some "C" list actors.

First thing I noticed...a few dealers showing up at 945 am to set up for a 10 AM show. WTF is that all about. Scurrying down the narrow hallway, bumping into guest, trying to get to their tables. Not very cool. If I ran the show I'd have a time table for all dealers because it doesn't reflect good on the promoter.

I WON'T be going back !

Fred

This show was off this time. Maybe because it's June(usually a bad time for local type shows) I will be writing a letter to the promoters about the dealers setting up so late. The best show is the fall show.

One of the perks of living in the smallest state in the union...close to other states and shows.

I'm 35 minutes from the Attleboro, Mass Show.
I'm 1 hour from the Fairhaven, Mass Show.
I'm 2 hours from the Plainville, Ct. Show.
We we do have a small monthly card show here in Cranston, RI {25 mins away},
but they mostly have Sports card. The only non sport guy that was there
doesn't do it anymore. At least since last November. Frown

The closest thing I have to a non-sports show is a sports card show in a casino. It's a horrible place to get to, a horrible place to walk in to, and you have the random scatterings of 'non-sports' that one could expect, given the type of show and venue. The last (and only time) I went, all I saw were a bunch of cut autos from whatever Heritage set was out at the time, prices of each of the cards being double what I could find online. So sad.

That's really sad. Sorry to hear that.

You should be getting an e-mail from the promoter soon.
