Almost Halloween again -- yay!

I love Halloween, the only holiday where the kids play as big a part as the adults. I can remember my days of trick-or-treating as a lot of fun.

It's a lot different now in my metropolitan area, maybe less so in smaller locals. However, the little kids at the door are just as excited to get treats and wear their costumes. I'll keep making candy bags for them and maybe they'll have some good memories too.

Yeah, Halloween was fun when I was a kid - the wide assortment of candy. There's less trick-or-treating these days. Some local malls welcome kids to trick-or-treat at the stores. The past two years only 5 kids showed uop at the door but 8 came by last week.

I meant to add some Halloween-themed card images to this thread that day but was dealing with computer issues.

well thats Halloween done. I did not see one person child etc that was doing anything connected with it. I wore a Halloween t shirt and i never saw anyone else wearing anything.

I think in the uk it is a complete non event.

Wolfie I think the UK weather played a very large part in what went on.

Happy Halloween everybody!

Halloween has always been my favorite holiday, even more so than Christmas. Maybe as a kid I liked to dress up or to get something for nothing. I don't know, but I'm sure its psychological.

I look forward to preparing for Halloween starting right after Labor Day. My decorations are up and out. Some candy has been bought. I'm looking up the schedule for old horror movies. I will be ready for all the little trick-or-treaters and enjoy making them happy for at least one day.

So, while we still have the opportunity to say it here, HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2026 to all you other Card Talkers who are still in their second childhood, just like me.

Yeah, Spirit Halloween stores started opening at the beginning of the month - maybe even in late August. I've heard of other people who say Halloween is their favorite holiday. They go all out decorating their houses and front yards in a way they don't do for Christmas. Some people make or customize their costumes across the year and I'm talking about adults.

There's an antique store in the area that sells Halloween stuff all year so they're always looking to buy cool-looking old stuff.

I like seeing the monster movies pop up on the movie channels.
