You can have them, if you like. Wavey
Just send me the postage or you can swap them for "normal" base cards. Maybe I'll get another set together then. I still wait for 2 more boxes. See, even more parallel cards for you! Wink

Someone else might know for sure, but if I had to guess I'd say it means 'Plate', because those cards have an old sepia photo look to them and they're thick, and often old photos are called 'plates'.
That's my theory, anyway. Smile

I was thinking it meant "plastic".

Of any card to get a duplicate of, the Emilia Clarke is the one to get. If you don't want it, I'll take it Big Grin

You are of course correct but it would have been nice to see one or more of the other VL autos in hand. A Lena Headey instead of one of the Emilia's would have been very welcome Big Grin

Sadly, I can't afford to just give any of them away.

Here's the autos from my 4 boxes.

Well, I wanted the bordered ones mostly, so I did pretty good in that regard. No Very Limiteds, but 3 limiteds at least: Varys, Mountain, and Luwin.

There was also one Relic, a Bran Stark house banner, #50 by serial number. The beige/tan material in it is soft, like velvet almost. It seems like the boxes that don't have a relic will have one of the plastic cards. I got three, but dupes of the Jaime Lannister one, and would trade that for any but the one of Cersei which was the other of those the boxes held.

Somehow, I got three of the same one per box Sigil cards (Greyjoy), but everything else came out OK. Would gladly trade a Greyjoy Sigil for any card but the Tyrell sigil which is the other one I got.

All of the base and chase subsets are beautifully done, as good or better than the first series, the lack of Shadowbox cards this time around notwithstanding.

As I mentioned earlier in a post since deleted to not clutter the thread, I almost doubled my order to 8 boxes, but as I was about to do it, I saw many of the autograph cards I wanted had just gone live on Ebay and at really good prices, so I spent the same money that I would've on the 4 additional boxes on 10 single autographs instead, basically five boxes worth, and got these:

Ygritte
Yara
Brienne x2
Jaqen Hg'har
Sansa X3
Loras Tyrell
Varys (the only single I bought that was also found in one of my 4 boxes, but that's OK, I love that character. We both serve the Realm, but I certainly have a lot more hair!)

Who cares that Ygritte, Brienne, and Sansa are "commons"? Those characters are very important to the story and I'm pretty sure will all be valued more than many of the "limited" cards (if not the very limited ones) in the years to come. I am delighted to have them.

Now that it's done with, I think I did better with the 10 autograph singles I bought than with the actual 4 boxes, but I at least wanted a chance at a Very Limited or a Sketch, and those 192 wrapper points will go a long way to the new Rewards card. The Very Limited graphs seem to come 2 or 3 per case, so with 4 boxes, I had a shot at one, but no luck. A sketch, I realize, I would've only had a slim chance at getting one with even a whole case, let alone with just 4 boxes, so I wasn't disappointed there. Indeed, I'm glad to see a number of them have been pulled by members of this board. Congrats to all who found one.

I'm still wanting that Stannis autograph and also the Jorah Mormont (even though it's full bordered), so I would gladly entertain any trade offers for either/both of those, and I have a couple of quotable dupes I would trade for those I don't have, but only if that was part of a larger trade.

I agree with you - many of the common autos are major character actors and you did very well. I have decided to collect GoT but will probably just try and do one auto from each actor over the whole series (not try and complete each year) and a few years where they signed extra cards makes my job a lot easier.

Stopped in the card shop next to my vet to buy some supplies, and I noticed that they actually had unopened boxes of this (and Fringe 3/4). I picked up a box on a whim, #3840/10,000.

Quotable Q12 and 17 (my third of each Frown )
SB 2 and 13
Banner -- Lancel Lannister
Autographs -- Roger Allam and Lena Headey Big Grin

Pretty stoked about the Headey, it seems to be the third most expensive (non incentive) card in the set and I would never pay that much. I think I am done trying my luck now after six total boxes, though. Hope I have some luck left for my two boxes of Parks and Rec Smile

To those who pulled a sketch; was it in there replacing another chase card, or did the box you pulled it from still have 8 parallel, 2 quotable, 2 storyboard, 2 autos, a sigil and a relic/gallery card?

I ask as I always keep two unopened packs as part of my set (from a box where I've pulled all chase already), and the thought of a sketch hiding as an 'extra' chase from that box is painful!

Thanks

Two boxes, 4 autograph hits . . .

Laura Pradelska and Natalie Tena
Conan Stevens and Simon Armstrong

Two are limited and two common, but I wasn't looking for any of those names so I'm not too happy with the value. At least I have the base set and a few inserts, but I think I will have to target the rest of my GOT spending, as its too easy to get these so-so combos. Frown

I don't recall for the exact box, but I was short one of the plastic cards from my case (obviously not complaining Smile ).

What do you do with the unopened packs?
