Lucky you, I only got 5 of the 6 clear chase cards. Another great set by Perna Studios. I will post pictures of my sketches later.

Received my five packs the other day and finally have the sketches scanned and identified. Smile
From pack #581 - #585, I got the expected 20 base cards, 5 clear cards AND I also got an awesome lenticular card (L1) featuring artwork by Meghan Hetrick!

Like Triple-Frog said above, this base set features the best artwork this year. I also loved the quotes that each artist came up with for the backs of their base cards. Thumb Up

Here are the five beautiful sketches, all keepers, for sure! Smile

Extremely disappointed to be hearing about this set now, especially after ordering Perna Studios last set directly from them.

This set's been promoted and discussed heavily, not sure how you missed hearing about it!

Seriously ? There is a 17 page thread on this forum alone promoting this set that started last July. You can't possibly have missed it:

In defense, most of the Spellcaster postings were in the New Promo forum.

...which is where I look on this forum for info on forth coming releases Wink

But I also frequent the Scoundrel Forums where the Perna section has been posting previews and information about Spellcasters for a very long time. Among other collectors I'm in contact with, this has been one of the most anticipated and eagerly awaited releases of 2013. So I do find it hard to understand how posts in this section of NSU Talk are the first thing someone has heard about this set.

In general, I would recommend Card Talkers to monitor the News and Rumours forum for the earliest info on upcoming series, especially if one needs to begin saving for that next case. The New Promo forum is good for catching stragglers.

Having said that, Spellcasters has been published in NSU's Dateline since Vol. 24 No.1 and Dateline is available via the NSU website too. Arvin, I am withdrawing my earlier defense. Shame on you. Wink

If anyone wishes to monitor Perna Studios, specifically, I would recommend becoming a Facebook friend. Ditto for the other card companies. Updated info then comes to you rather than having to go all over the place to hunt for it. Thumb Up

I broke my 5 packs (numbered 626 to 630) of Spellcasters for OTB. This is a beautiful set. The five packs gives the base set and frosted set and I also snagged the bonus frosted.

The sketches are by:
Samantha Johnson / Richard Cox / Lak Lim
John Monserrat / Ingrid Hardy
