I didn't do very well with the metallogloss cards and I didn't get all 5 of the
Phantom of the Opera Inserts, but this means that I do have a lot of cards to trade.
All the sketches are great and I am happy to get one of the autos. Time to make up
the trade lists!

Great sketches Greg, really like the Spider/Car one. The only problem I have with sketches is when Artists don't sign them or you can't make out the signature. I wish manufacturers would print the Artists name on the sketch.

I'm off to a show in the U.K. (Collectormania Glasgow) but when I get back I will post a few of the sketches I got.

Agree - it would be nice if the artists name was on back

I liked the way Inkworks used to do them with the artist's name and info plus serial numbering them.

But I understand why they don't. You'd have to print a different card for each artist instead of printing on large run of sketch cards. Topps has split the difference on some sets by providing room on the back to sign, that helps some but not always.

Sketch cards are always going to have the few that need lots of research to get all the information.

These do have a spot on the back for the artist to sign. Most did, although some of those were still pretty hard to decipher,
a couple left them blank.

The problem with printing artists names on the back of sketch cards is that if an artist ends up not being able to work on the set, or complete all their cards you are stuck with cards you can't use. It's a good idea, and would be helpful but I don't know that it's practical or cost effective. It would be easier if all artists would just print their name on the back.

names on back wouldn't work as i had over 40 artists not finish or quit.It would be a prining nightmare to print cards for over 100 artists and then some would do 20 and others 100 etc
