Do we start calling single-color costume cards "variants" now? Breygent seems to have reset the bar by selecting costume and prop cards that have a lot of personality whenever possible, so I don't see very many that could be called "plain." Boxes are 24 packs of 6 cards. Expect approximately 1.86 base sets of 72 per box if collation were perfect. 12 boxes per case, 3300 numbered boxes. Randomly distributed hot boxes include 11 autographs + 1 sketch. Special 2009 San Diego Comic Con boxes (numbered to 400) include exclusive costume cards, a 6-card red-foil chase card set, and additional sketch artists, with two hits per box expected and some with three including a prop card.

BOX 2541

Base cards (72): 1 complete set, 20 short of 2nd set, 5 threes
.. Behind the Scenes (5, 1:24 packs): DB1
.. The Dark Defender (4, 1:24 packs): DD1
.. Dexter Group (2, 1:24 packs): DG1
.. Dexter the Killer (6, 1:24 packs): DK4
.. Dexter's Relationships (4, 1:24 packs): DR4
.. Dexter Dream Scenes (2, 1:24 packs): DS2
.. Dexter Portraits (4, 1:24 packs): DT3
Costume Cards (21, 1:13 packs)
.. DC11 - Frank Lundy (FBI jacket): two-color swatch (365)
.. DC12 - Frank Lundy (tie): solid swatch (145)
Autograph Cards (11, 1:48 packs): none
Prop Cards (5, 1:96 packs): DPC5: Evidence Bag: pink band + letters (245)
Sketch Art Cards (2 artists, 1:288 packs): none
Box-bottom promo card: Movie Posters Stars/Monsters/Comedy Promo 4

BOX 1353

Base cards (72): 1 complete set, 11 short of 2nd set, 0 threes
(missing only card #1 for three complete sets from two boxes)
.. Behind the Scenes (5, 1:24 packs): DB3
.. The Dark Defender (4, 1:24 packs): DD3
.. Dexter Group (2, 1:24 packs): DG1 DG2 (1 extra)
.. Dexter the Killer (6, 1:24 packs): DK5
.. Dexter's Relationships (4, 1:24 packs): DR1
.. Dexter Dream Scenes (2, 1:24 packs): DS1
.. Dexter Portraits (4, 1:24 packs): DT4
Costume Cards (21, 1:13 packs)
.. DC15 - Lt. Maria LaGuerta (animal print blouse): brown/black swatch (365)
.. DC16 - Lt. Maria LaGuerta (silk animal/floral jacket): three-color swatch (365)
Autograph Cards (11, 1:48 packs): DA3 (in soft sleeve in pack): Jennifer Carpenter (Debra Morgan)
Prop Cards (5, 1:96 packs): none
Sketch Art Cards (2 artists, 1:288 packs): none

I just pulled Auto DA9, Costume DC12 and inserts DD2 & DB3 all from the same pack! Eek (And I had already pulled costume DC11 from this same box). These have been the funnest cards I've ever opened!

I received my case earlier this week and cracked it open last night. I meant to just open 2 or three boxes a night, but once I started, I just couldn't stop! Razz

I have not yet collated my base sets, so I can't even begin to imagine how many I have.

I will put up some scans later on when I get some more time.

Something strange...looking back, I can see that anytime there is a "Dexter's Relationships" card within a box, there is always a "Dexter Portraits" card of the same number in that same box.

Overall, I am thrilled with my case....A few doubles and even one triple. But hey, no complaints here as I can always try to trade them. These are beautiful cards...thanks Breygent!

Got my two boxes:

2 full sets plus doubles.

Box 1 inserts:
DD3
DG1
DK5
DR2
DS1
DT2
DT3
DC2 Astor costume
DC15 Lt. Maria Laguerta costume
DPC5 Evidence Bag prop

Box 2 inserts:
DB5
DD4
DG1
DK3
DR1
DS2
DT4
DC12 Frank Lundy costume
DC13 Harry Morgan costume
DC15 Lt. Maria Laguerta costume

I've been looking forward to these cards and they are very well made, but odds for pulling autographs are 1/57 and sketches at 1/288. That's pretty long and only costumes will not do for me.

Autograph odds are a little off, autos fall every other box, so the odds are actually 1:48, and most of the cases I opened had 6 autos, so the odds are even better. Sketches are 1 per case on average.

Odds given always represent an average, the packs state 1/57 and I opened 2 boxes without getting an autograph. If you are in for cases you are spreading the risk, for a box buyer like me it won't necessarily average out. I don't have the luxury of investing anymore to try to pull autographs.

Got my box today, started tearing into them before the mail lady was out of sight.

Got I set of 72 cards
second set 57 out of 72 cards, plus 5 triples

Foils: DG1, DG2, DK6, DS1, DD4, DT1, DB1

Costumes: DC9 (Dexter's bowling shirt)
DC10 (Doake's shirt)

Autograph: DA5 David Zayas

I'm pleased with the breakdown, I had found Doake's shirt early in the box, and was down to about 5 packs and thought I may get only one or two hits, but one pack had the autograph, Dexter's shirt and DD4 foil all together - a nice surprise.

The foils are a little confusing, they all kind of look alike, with so many subsets, but base cards are nicely done, also like design of costumes and autos.

2 more boxes in:

Box 1: 2 costume's - Angel and Rudy. Already have both Frown If anyone wants to trade for a couple of other 'common' costume cards LMK Smile

1 Auto - Erik King. He signed it up the side rather than at the bottom. Is this really a variant as someone on 'that site' is advertising, or pretty common?

1 Sketch Smile Great Jason Carrier piece.

Box 2: 2 Costume's - Dexter's bowling shirt and Masuka's shirt.

Lots of 'regular' inserts in both, as always.

Pretty damn happy again with my breakdowns. Shame I got a couple of costume's I already had, but that's just the luck of the draw. Getting an auto and a sketch in the same box sure made up for that Smile

Flag City- email sent.

I busted a case plus three boxes and here were my pulls:

Lets start with the boxes. I opened three boxes the other day and pulled the following hits:

Autos:
DA10 Mark Young
DA11 Mark Pelligrino

Costumes: DC6 Cody Shirt
DC9 Dexter Shirt
DC11 Lundy Jacket x2
DC12 Lundy Tie
DC13 Harry Shirt

I was super happy with the Lundy tie card as they are the second rarest costume card out there (second to the insanely rare Debra patch variant #'d to 15) and the Cody is low numbered as well so I was happy. Plus, two autos out of three boxes isn't half bad.

Okay so, for the case (and all the fun!!!!) This was my first case of cards EVER so it was exciting just to able to sit and open 12 boxes at the same time. My husband helped and I think he might just be my good luck charm!

To start, there was no extra sketch on top but that's okay. I did pull this very nice Brian Kong Masuka sketch. It was the only sketch in the case.

Autos:
DA1 Michael C Hall Elephant
DA2 Julie Benz Clap
DA4 Lauren Velez
DA5 David Zayas
DA7 CS Lee
DA11 Mark Pelligrino

Costumes: DC1 Astor
DC3 Angel shirt x2
DC4 Angel shirt x3
DC7 Debra dual x2
DC10 Doakes shirt x2
DC12 Lundy tie
DC14 Lila vest x2 (one inside liner version, one outside)
DC15 Laguerta top
DC16 Laguerta top
DC17 Laguerta dual x2
DC18 Rita dual
DC19 Rudy shirt
DC20 Masuka shirt x2
DC21 Masuka shirt

Props:

DPC3 Crime Scene Tape
DPC5 Evidence Bag

And now, drum roll please!!!!!

DPC1- Prop Foot!!!! It looks like it's the big toe sans nail! It came in the same box as a Debra dual costume, the Kong sketch AND the Micheal C Hall auto!!!! Elephant Elephant

Oh but wait, it gets better

DPC2- Prop Hand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND it's a blood variant that obviously came from the stump part. HOLY ****! Two extra rare hits in one case! Elephant Metal Bouncey

I got the hand and the foot in two consecutive boxes! The packs were HUGE! I almost had a heart attack when I saw the second one.

As for the rest of it, I have a million base sets and the insert sets were really not seeded well. And I seem to be lacking #3 of every set to complete additional sets.

Here's the breakdown:

Behind the Scenes (5 cards)- 1 complete set, 7 spares

Portraits (4 cards)- 2 complete sets, 4 spares

Dexter the Killer (6 cards)- 1 complete set, 7 spares

Group (2 cards)- technically I got 6 complete sets with one spare but 5 of the 7 DG2 cards were damaged....

Dark Defender (4 cards)- 2 complete sets, 5 spares

Dream Scenes (2 cards)- 6 complete sets

Dexter's Relationships (4 cards)- 2 complete sets, 4 spares

I am extremely happy with my case. Not very impressed with the collation of the costume cards and inserts as I got 6 duplicate costumes (and a triplicate!!!!) but over all it was excellent!

My second box. More great pulls. Love the patterns on the swatches! (If I could afford another box, I would. Hmmm... maybe I'll splurge again on another box next payday.)

Received my box today, couldn't wait to get home to break it openSmile

I was really happy with what I pulled, 4 hits in total, with 2 costumes, 1 prop and 1 auto.

I got:

Vincent Masuka auto, Evidence Flag prop, Lila vest costume (dark version) and Masuka's checkered shirt costume.

Excellent box break for me, now I'll just collect the other cards that I need for the set.
