All in all not bad. I'm quite happy with the Nimoy. I would have liked to get a Barrett or Collins somewhere in the mix, but I got a black permanent marker instead. (Someone left one in my case).

Oh yeah, and I got 13 Portrait cards in total. One box had 2.

I have 6 more boxes coming soon, hopefully that will fill in the blanks. I cross my fingers for the missing autos :-) What's the chance of getting a Barrett, Collins, Crawford and Nuyen in 6 boxes?? I'll let you know. :-)

Congrats ajdedo on your case break! Clap Well done on pulling a Nimoy autograph card. Good luck with the 6 boxes, I hope you pull the auto cards you need!

By the way, hammer made a good suggestion about contacting RA to do a swap for the missing Vina cards.

Well, in a couple of hours I'll receive my case. Wish me luck! Smile

RAJ,

Sorry to hear about you autos, I feel for you, and you got lots of doubles too. Those cases just kill me. On the bright side though, you did get a Collins. I bought a TOS Season 1 Collins for $700 about a year ago, I'm not sure I would have done that had I known she was signing again, in not animated form. It's the price of a case !!!

P.S. I like your Marianne Hill varients, they're nice :-)

That's life. I got the correct amount cards, so while I can whinge, I've no real cause for complaint.

I was fortunate to pack-pull a Collins (and a Montalban) auto from TOS 1, too.

I posted the Hill autos because of the 1-line/2-line difference. I know some people like to see the variants.

Well my 5 boxes finally arrived after coughing up the ransom demanded by Parcel Force.

For thos interestd here is the full breakdown:

Star Trek: The Original series 40th Anniversary
Box Breakdowns
Rittenhouse Archives

Box # 0598 opened 15/11/2006

2 Autograph Cards #106 JASON WINGREEN & #133 KATE WOODVILLE
0 Bridge Crew Delta Shield patch cards
0 Gene Roddenberry Tribute card
0 Gene Roddenberry Cut Sig card
a disappointing box
1 card short of a base set (#26) yet got 4 #58s 2 correct & 2 error versions

Box # 4432 opened 15/11/2006
4 Quotable ST:TOS Expansion cards #112, 117, 119 & 121
3 Captain Pike cards CP2, 6 & 7

2 Star Trek Portraits PT14 RUK & PT7 CHEKOV
2 Leaf Expansion “The Cage” cards #73 & 85
3 Autograph Cards 116 JOHN CRAWFORD ltd, 121 LAUREL GOODWIN & 124 BEVERLY WASHBURN
0 Bridge Crew Delta Shield patch cards
0 Gene Roddenberry Tribute card
0 Gene Roddenberry Cut Sig card
A strange box, it beat the odds with one extra Vina, Portrait, Cage and auto card more than stated. And one auto is a Limited but still no Very Ltd or Holy Grail cards
Managed a full base set this time but card 26 is a VERY poor picture of Landru

Box # 7249 opened 16/11/2006
4 Quotable ST:TOS Expansion cards #113, 114, 123, & 124
3 Captain Pike cards CP3, 6 & 8
2 The Faces of Vina cards FV2 & 5
1 Star Trek Portraits PT1
1 Leaf Expansion “The Cage” cards #82
2 Autograph Cards 125 MALACHI THRONE a ‘common’ auto but what a COOL one & A135 GEORGE TAKEI as Mirror Sulu ltd
0 Bridge Crew Delta Shield patch cards
0 Gene Roddenberry Tribute card
0 Gene Roddenberry Cut Sig card
Got the stated odds this time and each box seems to be getting progressively better so fingers crossed on getting a Delta Shield card and a Very ltd auto in the next one. Still praying for a visit by The Great Bird Of The Galaxy.

Box # 7253 opened 16/11/2006
4 Quotable ST:TOS Expansion cards #112, 117, 119 & 126
3 Captain Pike cards CP1, 5 & 9
2 The Faces of Vina cards FV4 & 8
1 Star Trek Portraits PT11
1 Leaf Expansion “The Cage” cards #76
2 Autograph Cards A108 DICK DURDOCK & A137 RHODES REASON
0 Bridge Crew Delta Shield patch cards
0 Gene Roddenberry Tribute card
0 Gene Roddenberry Cut Sig card
Nothing exciting, just common autos and still no Delta shield card. C’mon last box, don’t let me down.

Box # 7255 opened 16/11/2006
4 Quotable ST:TOS Expansion cards 111, 119, 121 & 122
3 Captain Pike cards CP3, 5 & 8
2 The Faces of Vina cards FV2 & 8
1 Star Trek Portraits PT7
1 Leaf Expansion “The Cage” cards #73
2 Autograph Cards A104 CARL HELD & 106 JASON WINGREEN (again)
0 Bridge Crew Delta Shield patch cards
0 Gene Roddenberry Tribute card
0 Gene Roddenberry Cut Sig card
Like a fickle lover, they tempt me with there charms yet when it’s time to get serious but then get a headache. Well these boxes had a HEADACHE!!!
It’s my own fault, I get my self worked up, caressing every box, every pack, feeling the softness of the wrapper, wondering what delicious secrets it has waiting to be uncovered as I carefully undress the cards for my eyes to feast on their delights.

(is it me or is it getting hot in here)

Summery of my 5 Boxes
Number of base sets = 7 (each with both versions of card #58) + 163 asst singles
Number of Quotable Exp cards 20 – 3 short of a set with 5 duplicates
Number of Captain Pike sets 1 + 5 duplicates
Number if Vina cards 11. no FV 1 or 3 just like ajdedo. For a 6-card set I expected to get a set out of 5 boxes
Total number of Portrait cards 6 one more than the stated odds though includes 1 duplicate
Total number of 1967 Leaf expansion cards 6 one more than the stated odds though includes 1 duplicate
Total number of Delta Shield cards 0 Very disappointed about this, hoped to get at least one
Number of Very Ltd autos 0 again Very disappointed about this, hoped to get at least one
Number of Limited autos, just 2
Number of Common autos 8 plus 1 duplicate

Your right there mate, Thems the breaks as they say.
I dreamt of pulling the G Roddenberry Cut Sig but realistically all I really expected ( and wanted) was a 1 very ltd auto and a Delta Shield patch card. I was let down this time. Happens all to frequently

Out of curiosity is this common ? Should there be a very limited auto in every RA case ?

5 boxes is a gamble, I think RA is pretty good with their distrabution. I bet the remainding 7 boxes had the 2 shield pacth cards and 1 or 2 of the very ltd. Unfortunately you didn't get them.

I'm taking a gamble on 1/2 a case too. I'm still waiting for my 6 boxes.

Well, whether I got the 'good' boxes is a matter of perspective. Here's the breakdown of my 6 boxes....

Box 0577

DS2 Patch Card Spock - 202/350
A129 - Emily Banks
A107 - Lawrence Montaigne

Box 3681

A116 - John Crawford (L)
A130 - Victor Lundin

Box 3687

A128 - Marianne Hill
A135 - Richard Compton

Box 3688

DS7 Patch Card Uhura - 283/350
A107 - Lawrence Montaigne
A123 - Bruce Hyde

Box 3695

A113 - Brian Tochi
A115 - David Soul

Box 8184

A118 - Peter Duryea
A130 - Victor Lundin

All in all the autographs were pretty uneventfull. I had all but 1 of them from my previous case, and nothing to get excited about. The only thing keeping these 6 boxes from going the way of Boldlygone's is that I got 2 Delta Shield Cards. That was slightly beating the odds on 6 boxes, and I can't complain. I was really looking forward to a Ltd. or V.Ltd that I needed, but I guess it wasn't going to happen this time. Anyone want to trade ???

The other thing to note is this. Out of 18 boxes (1.5 cases) I got 36 VINA cards. The breakdown is this ->

FV1 = 0
FV2 = 9
FV3 = 0
FV4 = 6
FV5 = 11
FV6 = 10

What the #@%& is up with that? Is there a massave shortage of #1 and #3 ?? Or has someone else, somewhere else, sitting on dozens of them?? I'd love to know what other people's VINA count are.....
