I have seen lately the Inkworks Sleepy hollow redemption card is being asked or trying to be sold for a very high price .I know that it marked as PROMO is quiet rare and valuable .
But what has the normal redemption card have going for it .
I think that up until last year it was only a $2 to $5 card

G'day Rosso, Just a little research, The Redemption "PROMO" card was not redeemable, apparently only 500 made.

Not too sure there was actually a redemption card per say..? Happy to be corrected if anyone else has some info Metal Sheep

Hi Adrian how r u we got aussie heat here at the moment but all good.
Yes the redemption card was the one marked PROMO and it was also released as the redemption with 4 or 6 signers there were two marked on it Johnny Depp and another named on the card who never actually signed.I have the redemption but lost in the mail the actual stamped promo during the covid shut down never seen another cheap one since.
Recently there have been very high prices being asked for the redemption just wondered why didnt think that they were rare or is it just someone trying.

I remember that R1 promo was not everywhere but also not hard to get when it was new as a number of dealers had it for a short time. I got one from Keith Dennis, I think, but sold it years later.

I would say that in the past 20 years, it has become quite scarce and I can't recall seeing one for sale for years until recently.

Yeah, I think it was in that $3-5 range when it was new but then it totally disappeared. I find decent stuff in Ebay lots sometimes but have not seen an R1 once. I don't have a real idea of value for it - maybe a $50-100 card to someone (would certainly get good stuff in a trade - rare for rare). Hard to say.

I thought it might be useful to illustrate what the R1 Redemption Card looks like so I found it in my Inkworks promo binder and scanned it. As below:-

Also with it I found this card which is blank backed and has the Inkworks stamp imprint in the bottom left hand corner. Where and how I got I cannot remember. Its size is 7 x 5 inches with a silver signature of whom I have no idea.

Note the redemption card is the normal trading card size which the scans don't make it clear.

regards

John

Hi John
The oversize card I was informed was apparently given by Uncle Allan but who knows and there is reputedly only 250 made. You would of got it from mohopon cards as they at the time had the only ones seen for sale .
Wether they had the whole 250 or not I do not know dose your one have the Inkworks circula embossed authentic on it

Thanks for all your replies regarding this card .
What I really wanted was why the normal redemption card is being asked at such a high price.
