How tough is it to find promo sets or singles of this 1990s Australian release ?

Many years ago I was able to pick up complete promo sets of all of those Tempo Australian cards (Simpsons, Barbie, Pumped Up Down Under, Gladiators, May Gibbs, Beatrix Potter, etc) but I never had someone offer me a promo set of Robots. Maybe I should've looked harder back in the day ?

I was hoping someone would pop up on here with some information. . .

Forever ago I picked up the 'Robot Redemption Set' solely because the last card is autographed. . . On occasion I've tried to find more information about these, but have never come up with anything.

In fact these aren't even listed on Allender's site so I have no idea if they are part of the same set. The cards are numbered RR1-RR3.

If you find anything out let me know. . . wish I had something useful to share, but I don't even remember where I got these. . .

Those are in the style of the various 3 card Redemptions sets in many of the Tempo releases. You would find the card on the left, the "winner" card in a pack and send it in, at which point you'd be sent back the middle "prize" card and the card on the right, which was called a certification card. The winner card would be hole-punched and returned along with the other two and all of them would have matching serial numbers. I have these sets for Peter Rabbit, Simpsons Downunder, and 36 Years of Barbie. They are all quite handsome.

I am still looking for these. Recently I spoke to the fellow who created them, and he told me the following:

The P1 to P5 and CCI to CCIII came in 3 or 4 versions each: UV, uncoated, matt and double thick gloss.

There were also the 2 postcards listed in PCE and the 2 card strip.

He also made a 10 card sheet which shows the 2 post cards and the 8 promos

The creator told me that he doesn't have any of the P5 promo left. Anyone have an extra of that one ?

Gday David and friends. I sat and had a chat with Andrew, the creator last year about the DAR set and the promos. There were two different versions of each promo, other than UV coated, Matte finish, Gloss finish etc. There were the thick and thin versions. Also, a promo poster that was folded into each box sold. Yes, as mentioned here, there were two promo postcards.

He contacted me this week to say he has 8 sets of the redemption card sets remaining, which he has just found in his storage. they are not reprints, they are originals from 1995.

RR1
RR2
RR3
plus a signed bonus card, they look incredible by the way...

You could contact Andrew direct or let me know if you need any assistance with that.

As for the P5, are you looking for the thick or thin version?
