In PCE2008, Todd says it's the Creature from the Black Lagoon. I'm pretty sure I saw it years ago - not sure I ever had it.

Also, I was looking through PCE2008 earlier today. It has a listing for a "Monster Bash 2000" promo (p. 100) and it says that's the hardest to find Good Stuff cards promo. There's an image of it on the same page.

Hey Jess, I just found the Promo for the one you mentioned "Monster Magazine & Fanzine Collector's Guide #2" It features Swamp Thing rising up (presumably from the swamp) with a bunch of the magazines behind him collage style. A Super Looking card. If I knew how to post a pic here, I would LOL Wavey Metal

Yeah, Adrian, I used to be able to send a small box (approx. the size of a brick) to just about anywhere in the world (France, Australia, New Zealand) for about $8 USD. Now, it's more like $30 or a little more. A friend in Switzerland says it costs him more than that (more like $40-45). And every country has its own excuse.

To order additional sets of MONDO SUBURBIA CARDS, send $5.00 + $1.00 postage and handling per set to the Starhead Comix address. Foreign orders add $1.00

Interesting how much international shipping costs have skyrocketed... Metal Elephant

That would be a nice pick-up. I think I saw that for sale a few years ago.

Hi Adrian
You should be able to figure out all the Promo Noir cards you can
The next Promo Encyclopedia is apparently being put out in a few months and is an on line issue and every promo card from 1988 is actually pictured in it so should be a very welcome addition for all promo collectors, do not know how much it will cost but should be advertised on this forum soon.
Would Boris Karloff Beyond the Monster 1 and 2 come under this description

Gday Ross, long time no chat, thanks for the suggestion.
Yes the 1998 Boris Karloff: Beyond the Monsters definitely fits in the Promo-Noir category. keep the suggestions coming mate.

The Boris Karloff: Beyond the Monster Series 2 P4, actually the only promo for the set but it continues the numbering of Series 2.

"Film Noir" as a genre is completely separate from monsters. None of the cards mentioned in this thread (with the possible exception of "Sin City") have anything to do with film noir.

Well, Adrian never said he was looking for film noir on cards. I was the one who talked more about that but even I never said monster stuff was film noir. We were looking at degrees of association and artistic choices. Maybe this is more of a monster/cult following cards done in black & white thread but then Adrian did open with a card genre name as a question. In any case, it's good that you are helping to keep the thread running. It's great to have a place to show some cards with old monsters.
