According to that website, # 57 is Egberto Gismonti and # 58 is Bonnie Raitt.

A Bonnie Raitt card from the 1975 set sold for $12.99 on Jan 17.

A Maria Muldaur card (#11) from the '79 set sold for $9.76 on Jan 16. I'm trying to remember the last time I heard "Midnight at the Oasis," her big hit and I assume a few people have busted it out late on karaoke night.

A graded SGC 7 #71 Bob Marley & The Wailers card sold for $500 on June 27. One of those might go for that even ungraded.

I think there are a couple of good reasons for that.

First of all, SGC is not regarded as the premium grading service. At least not before this recent shake up with PSA and Beckett. PSA is the big name for high value cards, followed by Beckett. SGC typically got used for faster, cheaper and some claim more lenient grading. As such, card collectors who demand only graded examples are less impressed with SGC slabs.

And secondly, a 7 grade will rarely impress them either. There are exceptions made for some older cards and card sets that may be known to be condition sensitive. So, are these cards normally condition sensitive? If so, that 7 could be an above average grade, but the buyers have to be knowledgeable enough to know that because they are all looking for 9s and above.

The best way to check any particular card is to go to the PSA population report and see how many have been submitted to them and what is the breakdown of grades given. That will give you an idea if it pays to try to grade for a premium price, or if it's better to just leave it raw. An ungraded card that looks like it might be an 8 is still likely to sell higher than a slab that comes back with a definite 7.

These cards were not distributed in wax packs or cello-packs. The packs look more like those shrinkwraps or heat-sealed packs you sometimes see - various promo packs from the 80's-90's. These would press in on corners especially over time and with even light handling. I think a grade of 8-10 whatever the grading service would be tough to get but maybe some cards in the middle of the pack would have a chance at a high grade.

There was a sale that I wish I had seen. The seller worded it as "1979 Warner Bros Artist Gilda Radner #84" with "Plus other cards." It wasn't just a lot. It was an unopened pack which has sold in the past for at least $60 and up into the hundreds of dollars. This one sold for just $38 on June 13.

I saw the weird reflection and checked the listing. Yeah, it's a pack. Someone got a great deal.
