Several Johnny Lightning cards have been shown on Card Talk. There are a good number of subsets so I decided to start a thread dedicated to them.

These cards are standard size tending to be unnumbered and nearly all of them are blank-backed. They were inserted one per package of the die-cast toy cars. I'll start with the Ad Rods subset (6 cards total), a card showing advertising from the 80's. The packaging is dated 2001.

there are SO MANY Johnny Lightning cards. I've only put up a few Marvel ones and have a folder full of images of others. I'll get to them eventually.

Some sets are big, like the Kiss 50-card set. Crazy.

Yeah, there's so many. I have maybe 2-3 of some sets and one of some others.

If you like diecast model car cards here are some images of cards that I collected between 1996 and 2002 along with the diecast models. Originally the models were made in the UK at Enfield in Middlesex but by 1999 most were being made in China. In 1999 the company was sold to a Hong Kong company who went bankrupt not long after. The castings etc were then acquired by Corgi in 2000 who continued production as they had a similar range however they added models from the 1970's and later on more modern vehicles. They in turn had some difficulties and were acquired by Hornby. The cards themselves ceased being issued in the style shown sometime in 2002. The total number of cards issued exceeds 300 but does not represent the same number of diecast models issued
