Got one last straggler box in at the store today.

Parallel: Card 76, 10/500
Waterhouse monkey sketch

At least the parallel was a low number, for what that's worth.

Oh my god oh my god oh my god....I seriously am shaking right now...out of a single box I pulled these two amazing works of art... I really hope you are sitting down if you are about to read this (and I apoligize to anyone who got a dud box, I almost feel ashamed that I was lucky enough to pull BOTH of these "sketches" out of the same box...so I am sorry)

You have got to try the monkey! From now on you can say, "I have tried monkey, tastes like bubblegum". That was great, thanks for the laugh!

hilarious Bryan... I was going to make a piece of gum look like Illinois or some religious icon and sell it on ebay. As a joke put them up for auction and get some free publicity.

(i may just erase one of my sketches and draw the monkey versus the melting face and load it on ebay to bring further attention to the poor waterhosed sketches)

I opened a box and got the Michael Byrne auto. I noticed the back has a lot of flaking and chipping on the edges. Is this common for this set?

opened my case.

Autos
Vernon Dobtcheff as The butler
Rick Young as Kao Kan
Vic Tablian as Monkey Man/Barranca

sketches

The Jones boys - Wilkinson, Wilkinson and Kohse
Elsa (?) by Wilkinson, Screaming monkey by Waterhouse

12 parallels : 2, 7, 10, 20, 21, 51, 53, 54, 71, 86x2, 89

Box toppers P1x2, P2x3, P3x3

Disappointed that I didn't get 1 auto that I really wanted and while the 3 Wilkinson sketches are great, I'd have preferred a more varied lot of artists.

Opened two boxes. Not pleased with what I received.

Box #1
2 parallels

Box #2
Katanga auto (George Harris)
2 parallels

No base set in either box, nor combined. I'm rather disappointed with this set. I think if you buy this product, you're better off buying the whole case. Frown

Looks that way, Ztaylork says he opened 20 cases. Too much cabbage for me.
