http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=87434 I notice Benedict Cumberpatch is wearing a Starfleet shirt. I wonder if he may be playing Gary Mitchell?

Nice catch about the shirt- I totally missed that when I saw the pictures originally!

I'm not a Star Trek fan, but I liked the idea of "time-parallel universe" that they used to reintroduce the original characters. Let see what they made in the 2nd movie.

It is now being reported that Benedict Cumberpatch will be playing Khan Noonien Singh in the Star Trek sequel: http://blastr.com/2012/04/conf...-benedict-cumber.php

Now Simon Pegg has stated that Benedict Cumberpatch is NOT playing Khan: http://www.cinemablend.com/new...ar-Trek-2-31145.html I wish these sites would get their facts straight. I'm still guessing Gary Mitchell as the villain.

Good! You'd think they could come up with something more original than copying Star Trek 2 for... Star Trek 2! It would end up being Star Trek 3 the search for spock all over again next! ____________________ LOTR/Harry Potter/The Prisoner/Thunderbirds & Captain Scarlet collector

Being an old Trekkie at heart, I'm not that impressed with this new "re-thinking" of Star Trek. I hope this second attempt is better than the first one. IMO, of course. ____________________ "A man has got to know his limitations."

Like I said in my post above..."I'm NOT impressed.." And that goes for these uniforms, too. They look like eastern block uniforms from the Cold War era. What a fracking joke! This Hollywood hack {Jar Jar Abrams} should go back to television and stop fracking up Gene Roddenberry's Trek. ____________________ "A man has got to know his limitations."
