Illustrator H.R. Giger, perhaps best known for his work designing the original "Alien" for the classic 1979 Ridley Scott film, has passed away at 74 from injuries suffered in a fall. http://www.hollywoodreporter.c...hr-giger-dies-703558 His influential vision will live on in pop culture and the art world alike. Heaven gets a new paint job today, and I don't think everyone there is going to like it. ____________________ Everywhere around this burg they're running out of verbs, adverbs, and adjectives. Giger was a weird dude alright, but he was one of a kind to be sure. Not following the art world so much, I don't know how influential he was in recent years, but any Alien fan appreciates his work just from those designs. RIP Mr. Giger. | |||
