Olivia Hussey has died of cancer at age 73. She appeared on cards and stickers in the just released "Black Christmas" set from Fright Rags, based on the influential 1974 horror classic.
Rest in peace.

Christopher Benjamin has just died aged 90. He appeared in Danger Man and The Prisoner playing the same character which was taken as an indication that the two series were connected. He also appeared in The Avengers and Dr Who where he appeared in three episodes as different characters with his last Dr Who appearance with David Tennant as the Doctor. I forget what the episode was called but it was the one where he met Agatha Christie.
I have shown a card from the Prisoner

Here's a card that used the 1963 Topps front but has a different back promoting a charity event he was involved with in 1988.
I remember his Miller Lite commercials and him spoofing "homer" baseball announcers in "Major League." People have used his line, "I must be in the front row" I don't know how many times in baseball stadiums all over the country and maybe even in other countries.

Steve Silberman passed away last August. He wrote for "Wired" magazine and became famous for his 2015 book, "NeuroTribes," which focused on the history of autism - how it came to be understood and the still-developing understanding of it. He also became known for his writings about The Grateful Dead and The Beat Generation.
Here's one of his Booksmith cards:

I heard Marianne Faithfull passed away on January 30. She was part of the British Invasion in the mid-late 60's and made news a few years ago when she who got COVID and survived.
This Booksmith card promotes her 1994 autobiography, "Faithfull.

This one broke my heart. I loved Pee Wee’s Playhouse.

Authorities are still working out what happened. In another thread, we talked about him in "The Conversation" and its connection to "Enemy of the State." I remember a couple of movies I liked of his that aren't really talked about, "Bite the Bullet" (1975) and "Narrow Margin" (1990).
He doesn't seem to be on many cards. I think I have just this one from "The Replacements" promo set:

He didn't tend to make "trading card" movies, but he was in Superman I & II so he's on a good number of those Topps cards.
Here's one from the Cuyler Smith "Trading Cards" set, in which the artist imagine characters from popular sports-related movie & TV shows on cards that could have been issued during the time story was set. Here's Gene from "Hoosiers" in Series 2. This was limited to 90 copies, so it's been hard to find for a while now.
Rest in peace, Gene Hackman, truly one of the greats.

Oh yeah, how could I forgot about the two Superman movie sets? And I just read about the Superman 2 set in Gerani's book about 80's Topps cards.
Hackman played Luthor in Superman IV but Topps didn't do a set for that.
