David Soul, better known for "Starsky & Hutch", died yesterday, age 80:

And British actress Glynis Johns also died yesterday, age 100. I hadn't realized that she was a living subject of a 1939 card. Is there anyone else alive who appeared on a 1930s card?

Their teenage melodrama hit "Leader of the Pack" is arguably the pinnacle of the form. In 2019, the song was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame under the new singles category created the year before, to immortalize classic songs from those artists who didn't necessarily have long careers.

Here she is in the 1975 Panini Pop Star sticker card set:

That's a 2020 Pop autograph that has now jumped to $150 on eBay. Guess she didn't put her signing money to good use. I don't know why people even take the chance to start down that road while they can still stop it. It's as bad as playing Russian Roulette, but I wish her family peace.

It depends on the parties you go to. I was certain the carrot guy was Shecky. What else have I been wrong about for years-decades?

I'm sad after reading of his passing but I got a kick out of seeing Carl Weathers in "The Mandalorian." It was great that he got another good role in something else big later in his career. He directed several episodes too. What a string..."Rocky," "Predator," "Toy Story," plus numerous TV appearances in the 70's including "Good Times," "Kung Fu," "Starsky & Hutch," and even "Barnaby Jones."
