catskilleagle60 years of Star Trek
My nephew announced to the family that Star Trek debuted on this date in 1966. My brothers and I didn't see an episode until 1975 after it had gone into syndication. I think we watched the animated series right around that time.
Feel free to add a comment. Talk about your favorite episode(s), character(s), or just the whole idea of not having money in the future. "Well, we don't." That was funny.

cardaddictWhen Star Trek debuted, my brother's and my bedtime came halfway through the episode. My mother just WOULD NOT let us stay up that extra half hour. It was not until summer vacation that we could see the other halves.

I saw a few episodes at some point later on, but probably less than half. Learned more about the show from the cards. Same thing with all the other Star Trek series. Saw a couple of episodes when they began and didn't come back, but I have at least one of most everybody's autograph cards. I guess the card parts are worth more than the whole to me.

catskilleagleYeah, similarly with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I have a lot of the promos but not all of them and I haven't seen a single episode nor the original movie. It must have been on when something else was on but then I was watching a lot less TV in the 90's than in the 70's.
I've picked up a couple of promos here and there in the past 10-12 years but I'm not sure I'll finish that. I had a few of those rarer NSU ones from Season 5 but sold them when they were hot.
