I remember him from a Peter Benchley movie in the 70's--think it was "The Deep" but not sure.

Can't forget "The Misfits", in which he starred alongside Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable in what was their last film. Eli was wonderful in that role, and he was one of the better things about "Godfather III", for good measure.

That was a heckuva run, Mr. Eli Wallach, 98 laps in all. Rest in peace.
