I just did a quick search, and this came up from December 2020. Seems the Estate earned 8M that year, making Marilyn the 13th highest paid dead celebrity at the time. Now there's a list you want to get on. Roll Eyes

According to that article, she did manage to leave a bit of money to some other people.

David Emge has passed away at 77. He played Stephen, the last main character to go in the classic "Dawn of the Dead". It says he was a professional actor, but I never saw him in anything else that I can remember, and his credits are few. He must have also been doing something else for all these years.

Doesn't matter. That movie was special, and it didn't really need great actors because it had that handheld camera, "we are ordinary people", look to it. Forget the remakes and copiers, "Dawn of the Dead" was the best of the trilogy and always the most effective zombie movie to me because it was so contained to the small core characters. RIP Mr. Emge.

Wow, even if the earnings have started trailing off, the investment has already been covered and it has been maybe tripled or more since then. Somebody saw it right.

Sad to hear of the passing of Carl Weathers who had just turned 76. I think he was very underrated as an actor, although his best run was between 1976 - 1996. He did some big movies, the Rockies of course, and he tried to headline a couple that could have done better, like "Action Jackson". He maintained his career throughout his life.

And he will always be remembered for his Apollo Creed, which the recent Creed films did not best in my opinion. There was something about Apollo that made Rocky even better. Weathers was never a boxer, but he did play a little pro football prior to acting. Lately he had made several appearances in "The Mandalorian". RIP Sir.

The BBC web-site has posted that actress Pamela Salem died on Wednesday. She was aged 80 and appeared in the Sean Connery James Bond film Never Say Never Again as Miss Moneypenny and in Dr Who as Professor Rachel Jensen in a Sylvester McCoy serial as well as some Dr Who audio episodes. I believe she lived in the US, possible Florida. I don't think she appeared on any cards but I am not sure.

regards

John

She wasn't in Bond cards. There are two Miss Moneypenny actors, Caroline Bliss and Samantha Bond, and Naomie Harris was Eve Moneypenny.

Odd that RA missed one, they got autographs from actors with no-name characters that carried a drink tray. Big Grin

Oh I just realized that it's because "Never Say Never Again" wasn't an official Bond movie and no cards were ever made on that title. Connery went rogue for that film, contract dispute.

Raven, didn't original Moneypenny, Lois Maxwell, sign for RA cards ?

Lois was Moneypenny in the first 14 films, Bliss in 2, Samantha Bond in 4.

Barbara Bouchet was Moneypenny in Casino Royale in 1960's version.

Right you are wolfie. Lois Maxwell's only signed card was via a redemption in Inkworks' 1998 Women of Bond Supervue. I would think that would be a pretty rare card to have. There were only 5 signers and I never saw them. The link is below.

I only picked up Lois as it was her only one. Not being a fan of the wide cards I got the rest of mine from other releases.

I too have got all the autographs however I only have four of the redemption cards plus a redemption card with six blank boxes which I assume I must have acquired from the secondary market following the demise of Inkworks.
