I picked up the first version of this as I was interviewed for it. I didn't realize that little attempt to edit me was not going to happen. In fact a large part of the book are these full interviews with various people. The approach seemed a little lazy for my tastes. End result was ok with room for improvement. As far as I know it was her first attempt at publishing so you have to factor that in as well. For me Sketch/Art cards are a secondary interest and I have not decided yet if I will get part 2 or not. ____________________ Just because it's rare doesn't mean it's valuable.

I was interviewed for the first book as well, although I've never seen it. I didn't realize that was going to be a for profit endeavor when I did the interview. If I had I would have approached it differently or not at all.

I was aware of why she was doing the interviews I just figured she was going to take answers from the collective and then write the book around them. Then give a credit to interview contributors in the back or something. Had I known she was going to essentially cut and paste all the interviews in the book I would have taken a little extra time to write it better. ____________________ Just because it's rare doesn't mean it's valuable.

Totally agree -- I knew she was interviewing people for a book / project. I didn't realize she would be selling the book vs either publishing it on a website or giving it away. If I had know that I would have at least requested a copy of the book (even an electronic copy) for participating -- I assumed (wrongly) that I would get to see the book I participated in creating. I also didn't know that she would be copying / pasting the interview verbatim. I definitely would have approached this differently had I known that. Ohh well.

I knew the book was going to be sold for profit, I have no problem with that. I believe my interview is in it, but I've never seen it. The cost was too prohibitive. I live in the UK and it would have been something like £70 including the shipping. It would cost nothing to send free digital copies to the contributors. It is standard practise to send a free copy to contributors. ____________________ Mars Attacks Uprising, Hobbit Battle of the 5 Armies, Star Wars Masterwork, Marvel Premier 2014, The Hobbit an Unexpected Journey, Guardians of the Galaxy, Mars Attacks Heritage, Marvel 70th Anniv', The Prisoner, Star Wars Galaxy 4, X-Men Archives, LOTR Masterpieces II, Vampirella, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Dr Who, Marilyn Monroe and CSI sketch card artist.

It was getting on for £200 for the hardback version. I know self-publishing is expensive, but this seemed a little excessive.
