Series 3 of Chronicles of the Three Stooges will feature the first ever Three Stooges 3D Anaglyph cards!

I was commissioned to convert 40 studio images into full-depth 3D anaglyph (red & blue glasses) images for
RR Parks Cards. It took over 5 months to complete, and I wanted to share a first look here on the NSU forums.

(NOTE: The actual cards will be full-bleed.)

36 cards will be found in Chronicles of the Three Stooges series 3 (+ 4 additional cards will be issued as promos).
3D glasses will be included in boxes, as well as available via a mail-away offer.

Chronicles of the Three Stooges series 3 will be available April/May of 2015.

There's a 'fun' little history as to why the series has 3D cards (and if you like the old tv show Connections this might be especially fun). In the late 1940s Norman Maurer married Joan Howard, Moe's daughter and by the early 1950s Norman had issued the first Three Stooges comic books and together with Joe Kubert invented the 3D comic book. In 1958/1959 Norman, together with Larry and Moe, set up an official licensing of Three Stooges (a license that transferred to Comedy III, now C3 Ent., Inc.) and one of their first official Three Stooges products was the very first series of Three Stooges trading cards in 1959. So it just seemed very fitting for Chronicles of the Three Stooges series three to have 3D Three Stooges cards and the plan is to have them printed on similar stock as those 1959 trading cards (together with a continuation of that 1959 first series) -- so in a way, bringing Three Stooges trading cards full circle with a tip o' the hat to Norman Maurer's initial 3D and Stooges collectibles. I believe that graduates me from 'fan boy' to 'nerd' (a title I'll take great pride in having :-)

To add just a bit to Richard's fine "Stooges 'n 3-D" lore, they also appeared in some of the very first 3-D comic books which were issued in the early 1950's. While those originals are quite pricey, Eclipse Comics reprinted them in the 1980's and that four issue run is still fairly affordable. They had new covers that were just great. Although not in 3-D itself, here's one drawn very much in the spirit of it by artist Paul Gulacy:
