It's interesting that Monsterwax is exploring another angle for a "Lost in Space" set, but yeah, the target audience for something like that isn't getting any larger. That first set does look great, though. I actually thought they might announce a "Land of the Giants" set (or some other 60's-70's sci-fi show) but that would be a similar gamble.

Back in the 70's I watched "Lost in Space" re-runs a lot more than "Land of the Giants" ones but the former seemed to be on TV more than the latter in my area.

Thanks guys. What made this series so interesting for me is that Ron Gross (the artist) went back and added the aliens, monsters, and story points originally intended in the first several episodes, but then avoided because of the time, cost, and SFX difficulty in producing it. It's 104 cards!

Another cool thing about it is that its an official 60th Anniversary collectible (1965-2025). Only 1,965 sets are printed to make up all the boxes, sets-- everything comes from that limited supply. And they are all numbered to prove it.

Those first season episodes were by far the best, but they often don't get aired because they were black and white. What a shame! But the cards themselves are rich in color and really look fantastic. The Lenticulars are specially nice.

Just finished a mock up of the Tuck Boxes. These look the same as the 24 pack wax boxes, but they have 8 tuck boxes inside that hold 26 cards and either 2 metal cards or 1 metal card and one Lenticular. The breakdown gives two complete base sets (105 each), all four lenticulars, and all 12 "Monster Metal" cards (224 cards total).

I'm happy to say we're about to pass $15K, but the campaign ends in just 4 days (Friday the 13th of Dec.)

Thanks to all who pledged! (It closes soon but has already passed $20K.) Here's how the 3-D card turned out.
