Just curious if any of you guys/gals are working on completing any master sets right now? I'm trying to complete,

I haven't really attempted any master sets since Buffy Women of Sunnydale although I considered Family guy for a bit. I will be going after a Serenity master for sure, I want so many of the autos and pieceworks it doesn't make sense not to get the 2 or 3 cards I'm not as interested in.

I've been working on the Planet of the Apes 2001 set for a while now. I have all the autographs but some of the costume cards are proving to be tough and costly, and some of the inserts are tough to find (serves me right for waiting three years to go after the set).

The Sopranos I've begun and The Complete Battlestar Galactica I've gotten a start on.

What I'm really looking forward to is going back in time and tracking in earnest a few vintage sets such as Civil War News and Man on the Moon (the O-Pee-Chee version).

I'll be working on my first Master set, when Serenity come out. It looks like its going to be a great set. I have 4 boxes on order and I think I will get one more box.

The only set I am trying to "master" is The Definitive Dawn set.
I need only one auto(A7) and a box-topper(T1) to finish.

At present it is too expensive for me to try for more master sets.So it depends on the inserts as to what I will go after.

You must be copying me, I also have 4 boxes on order and am pondering getting a 5th. I haven't been this eager for a non-buffy set since Charmed PO3 (Charmed Conversations comes close too).

Going for Stargate 6 & 7.... hopefully after this week, I'll have 6 completed and 7 with only 1 huge auto left to go.... that one's the costliest ever.... Maybe I'll just get a lifesize copy and insert it for prosperity's sake. Planning on starting SG Atlantis when my shipment arrives.

Yes, currently working on 6 different master sets right now. Three of them I'm very close on and the other three I'm a bit further away.

I need the UK Promo to complete my Osbournes set, the Guillermo Del Toro autograph to complete my Hellboy set, and the Danny Elfman auto and the sell sheet to complete my Sleepy Hollow set.

Highlander, Spike, and Family Guy I'm a little further away on...I need something like around 10 cards to finish off each of those three.

I Keep looking for a CSI casino chip at a reasonable price to complete CSI 1 & 2

Buffy Season 7. I've everything (including binder) bar a few autos. I didn't plan it, it just ended up being my most complete set.

I'm working on a couple..

Spike: TCS - need the auto'd pieceworks. So I've pretty much given up on that one.

Men of Sunnydale - need the Trio auto, A5, A10, and PW5 tie variant.

THE 3 SMALLVILLE SETS
Season 1 need the Chloe autograph and some promos
Seson 2 need 3 piecworks and some promos
Season 3 need autos/piecworks
Season 4(when it comes out..)

Loads of sets. I don't set out to get a master set, it just happens. I keep buying and trading for cards and suddenly i notice i don't need anymore for a particular set.

I'm almost done with my Robots master set. I just need three sketches (SK6, 10 & 12), two retail foils (RE1 & 2), and the H2004 promo (which should be arriving any day now).

I'm close on a few....

Buffy Men of Sunnydale: 1 card away
Buffy Women of Sunnydale: 2 cards away
Angel Season 5: 3 cards away

After that, I think I'll be working more on Buffy Evolution, Angel Season 3, and Buffy Season 7. And nothing short of a master set will do for the upcoming Lost Season 1 set.

I finished my only master set last year, and my goal was to finish 2 this year, but sometimes I get sidetracked on the ones I'm close to when I find good deals on other cards.

One of my priority sets at the moment is the On Her Majesty's Secret Service bubblegum card set. It was made in 1969 and I don't come by any very often at all, so it's taking a while.

No master sets for me... I'm a poor college girl Trying to finish off the PW sets of Buffy Connections, Big Bads, Season 7 and Angel 5, but of course I'm missing the *rare* ones for those... Have a complete PW set of WOS though! Thats as "masterful" as I'm going to get... :-)

I'd like to consider my buffy promos a "master" set of promos. I'm a B6-gg short of having all of the promos Season 1-7, BB, WOS, Angel 1-5, Conn etc etc.

Okay, fine... I guess the "Promo set" doesn't count...

I'm constantly working towards master sets. It's so annoying when you're only 1 card away from a master on half-a-dozen sets and they're the really rare and expensive cards.

I would like a master set of Serenity, I have nearly a master set for Spike. I only have the one autographed pieceworks, which is good enough for me! I don't collect the un-cut sheets at call.

Other sets I would like to have a master of and are close to finishing are:
- Buffy season 5 (3 autographs and binder, and embossed promo to go)
- Angel season 1 (2 autographs, 2 promos and binder)

I will be getting a master of Serenity

For Angel Season 1 - need 1 auto (A5/Spike) (but I have his other autos so that's a VERY low priority)

For Stargate Season 6 - need 2 autos (Tapping & Wright)

For Xena Season 6 - I need 1 (2?) auto and 1 Forever Gabrielle along with the impossible-to-afford R4...

I'm not actively pursuing any master sets right now though.
