I occasionally see a card on auction sites called "Jim Davis The Man Behind The Cat" which is part of the 2004 Pacific Trading Cards Garfield set. There are two versions of this card, a regular one which is part of the base set and one which has the signature of Jim Davis. All I can find out about the signed card is that it was limited to 500 but the back of the card does not state if the signature is genuine. Can anyone confirm if the signature is genuine or a facsimile. I have avoided bidding on this card as I only wish to purchase cards with an authenticated signature.

If I remember correctly there is a signed card that came in the boxes, but it is not different than the base card. . . which is a bummer since you then can't tell the pack pulled cards from cards signed later or potentially forged.

Just before Pacific went out of business they sold off printing plates from this set. I got a set of one of the cards featuring Jennifer Love Hewitt. ____________________ Just because it's rare doesn't mean it's valuable.
