Here's the card I referred to from Comic-Con. It was a contest card, each with a unique code that could be entered at a website to win the Joker's bag of cash (several different cash award prizes were available). This was seemingly done as part of the viral marketing campaign for 'The Dark Knight' that I mentioned above, and this contest aspect was likely sponsored by Verizon Wireless & Nokia, given that their respective logos appear on the reverse (Batman) side. It is standard trading card sized, but on playing card-type stock with rounded corners. ____________________ Everywhere around this burg they're running out of verbs, adverbs, and adjectives. Interesting! You're right, it is too bad that they used the over-the-shoulder promo image of the Joker.

Here's the details of Nokia's involvement that resulted in the contest card. https://www.verizon.com/about/...2008/06/pr2008-06-13 "Verizon Wireless customers will also find a Joker playing card with a code and a link to the www.fightforgothamcity.com Web site. Once on the Web site, customers can instantly find out if they have won The Joker's "bag of cash" containing $10,000, play games to win more The Dark Knight-themed prizes, and download exclusive The Dark Knight content from Verizon Wireless' V CAST service." ____________________ Everywhere around this burg they're running out of verbs, adverbs, and adjectives. PSA has finally begun grading the 2008 Playground Maniacs Dark Knight stikcers, for those who are into the grading thing. I had tried unsuccessfully for months in 2021 to get them to acknowledge these. I have not been able to find sealed boxes for over a year now. Just a handful of the comic con sets and loose packs, unfortunately.

Recently picked up this card and so far, have had no luck in tracking down its origin. Im hoping someone here has info on this or this company "Flash International" This message has been edited. Last edited by: junkwaxgems,

Based on the lack of copyright information I don't think it's an officially licensed card. Looks like PromoKing has a card from Flash International for sale on eBay -- not sure if he is still active on here, but you might want to post in the promo section as he may have more info -- also his email address is in his profile if you don't get a response on here.

Thank you. I caught one of his listings after posting this, as well another dozen or so other movie cards ca. 2000s. I'll try and track down his promo thread too. Im about 50/50 on legitimacy/licensing here at this point.
