Hi all,

Has anyone heard of Jet Blue {the airline} trading cards ?

My son was at his weekly Boy Scouts meeting, last night with my wife {I didn't attend}, and they had a speaker come in from Jet Blue {he is also a resident of Warwick}, and talk to the lads about airplanes and such. He then handed out some standard sized J.B. trading cards.

My wife came home sick, tossed the card on my desk, and this morning I found it. After talking to her about it {which I didn't get to much info about the cards}, but she will ask this gentleman next week {or if she sees him earlier} about these cards.

As for the card...like I said, it's a standard sized card, with a picture of an Airbus A320 on the front with two sentences describing the aircraft below. The card isn't numbered on the back, but does look like a puzzle piece, so I'm guessing there's more of these cards to complete the puzzle.

As soon as I find out more I'll post it. Unless someone else knows more, then please tell me.

Thanks,
Fred

Never heard of them but they look neat.

Boeing made cards a number of years ago.

I got some more of these cards and here's two pictures.

I picked up 13 more cards tonight making a total of 14, but there is obviously 15 to this set because I'm missing ONE card, which is clearly visible by the incomplete puzzle. He didn't have anymore, but he is on call tonight and he'll see if he can nab some more for for me.

The pilots hand these out to kids if and when the kids seem interested in seeing the cockpit or ask about planes and such.

Every year they change the paint scheme on the rudders of the planes. There's even a rudder for the 100th plane Jet Blue purchased. Jet blue even flies the NY Jets around {see lower middle pic for that jet}.

I met the pilot and his wife tonight. He lives a half mile from my house. How about that, ey ?
And he flies out of Boston's Logan Airport.

There were originally five 190 cards and 10 320 cards, each one featuring a different tail design. The cards can in packages of 50 for the 190, 100 for the 320, each package containing ten cards each of each tail design. Shortly after the cards creation JetBlue introduced a Red Sox themed aircraft. A new package of cards was issued, this one containing one of each tail design, 190 and 320, plus the Red Sox 320 and also with two "mystery" cards featuring nothing more than a 320 shape against a blue background.

Nothing was said to the JetBlue pilots about these cards, they just "appeared" one day. Most pilots simply ignore them. A few, like myself, make sure we always have a supply on hand to give to enthusiastic customers of all ages.
